Wig care is basically about careful brushing before and after every use, and storage. Wigs should ideally be brushed carefully before and after every use, and then kept on a wig stand. If, like me, you can’t use a wig stand for whatever reason, you should keep it in a clean paper lined (to absorb moisture) bag, carefully folded if necessary. I put paper inside the wig cavity as well (again to absorb moisture). Occasionally you should take it out and carefully brush it, making sure you don’t pull out any hair fibres. Wig sellers will sell you a wig conditioner you can spray on as you brush it, which helps to preserve the fibres and minimises tangling. If your wig ever gets dirty, or builds up grease and gets smelly, you can wash and dry it, then brush and store it. There are YouTube videos that show you how, it isn’t hard to do, but you will need time (hours or overnight) for it to dry (hang dry is best, blow dry at your own risk because fibres “burn” and curl more easily than human hair, so be warned) properly. Hope this helps.
