Need help with finding a good tv box for Chinese and hk drama for my parents. any recommendations? Anyone bought tvbox from the shops in jb/ksl? Appreciate some review. Thanks in advance.

We all know that media influences and conditions us into thinking in certain ways and we often believe we are easily aware of it. However, most of the time people just consume and imbibe the stuff on screens. Surely, they choose what to watch and listen to, but their choices then condition them and gets them into the groove of making similar choices. For example, I think too many good looking actors in gay (and straight) drama series make the gay community hanker for unrealistic good looks in their ideal partner. They make everyone dream of that celluloid dream guy, which causes problems in real life because people's expectations become sky high and nobody, not even quite good looking people can satisfy them. Also, porn stars have such good looks and bodies that it further reinforces the need to have someone sexy or someone with a fit-looking body. The gym culture is a product of media, although one can say that vanity and narcissism might have spurned those media to begin with, but it's a cumulative cycle. I think the gay community should rethink the media conditioning it has received and realise that endlessly following and chasing after who they believe to be popular, hot, cute or handsome is ultimately a futile if not detrimental pursuit. If you're 30 or nearing that age, you should begin to realise the transient nature of such things. So the cure seems to be to live a healthier, happier life with meaningful pursuits so that we don't keep watching porn or chasing dramas right? People who are busy and having fun generally don't have much time or don't even bother to watch porn or dramas.
