If God appears to you and grants you three wishes for Singapore, what would you wish for? (Yes, I'm 'stealing' this question, but I think it's a genuinely interesting one and I'd love to hear lots of different views on this. Of course, if you know where this question is from, you'll know that one possible answer includes "divine discontent" and "wisdom to count our blessings", quite obviously informed by a government administration perspective. So, what are your wishes for Singapore?)

A "Members' Lounge" in real life is a place where members can relax, chit chat, and get to know one another. On BW this happens indirectly, I suppose, when members post in the topical threads and reveal their viewpoints. It occurred to me one day that there isn't a thread that's more or less just for this purpose, is designed to elicit responses that are more personal, interesting and thought-provoking, and moreover can be continually updated to remain interesting. Not-so-small talk, I guess. So I had the idea of starting a thread where every day I post a question of a general and personal nature, and any member is invited to post a reply if they find the question interesting, or reply to other members' answers, and take the conversation where it might lead. Then a new question the next day. (Of course, older questions always remain open for discussion; just quote the original question so others know what you're referring to.) To give an idea of the kinds of topics/questions I had in mind, I'll provide a few questions (linked by a theme) in the first post. If there's sufficient interest, I'll continue with a new/different topic/question tomorrow, and so on. So here goes:
