Breakfast and Dinner

 

Synopsis

 

High school student Takumi lives with his two mothers in a beautiful house in Tokyo. Moving into a house across the street is Sora and her two fathers. One day Takumi and Sora begin a quest to seek answers long hidden and silent in their unconventional families. Takumi sets out to determine the identity of his father, and Sora devises a plan to integrate herself fully into her family. The ordeals of these households stretch the traditional notions of family, convention and tradition.

Synopsis

 

It is a portrait of four kids – Gus, Ebony, Matt and Graham – whose parents all happen to be gay. As they each wrestle with the challenges of oncoming adolescence, the outside world wrestles with the issue of marriage equality and whether or not kids like them are at risk. Gayby Baby is a living, moving portrait of same-sex families that offers a refreshingly honest picture of the value systems that really count in modern life. Just what is a 21st Century family and how and by whom should it be defined?

The Father & Son trailer is so hot...all got pretty good bod. The father doesn't seem old enough though. Out in mid Nov in some thai cinema.

It's made by the same Thai production company who also made Teacher & Student (sounds familiar, right?)....which looked promising in trailer but in the end, disappointing b'cos the story is like neither here nor there...just a teacher with some mental issue of getting high with his student's uniform. Hope the new one not like that....and hope not some tragic ending like many PLU movies.

Though sometimes advertised under same website, but this type of movie is different from those silly online shorts under Gthai movies with fake dinosaurs, gay parodies of actual movies etc.

Taiwan film 2015

With some gay theme.

 

It received good reviews at the Berlin film festival and is nominated for the Golden Horse (nov 2015) under best film, director, actor, supporting actor, supporting actress, script etc. 2nd most nominated movie after 刺客聂隐娘, but the latter got alot of technical nomination rather than acting ones.

Noted the director is now in jail for rape (with woman lah).

 

Can't see much from trailer. Think it's about 2 sons and mum with drinking problem. The younger son worked at the market and got a gf. The older son is gay, he later return from overseas and got affair with a escort who is his younger bro's friend. Then there's some gangster issues....

 

 

The one being interviewed is the older bro....near the end of the clip got scenes of naked backsi**.

 

The younger bro, the older bro and his "bf" in the movie. The woman acts as the mum. The latter 2 actors are often asked to hug or even kiss during interviews, movie celebration party.

Not movie...it's an ad for AIDS checking. The 2 HK guys 何浩文 and 林耀聲 look abit old in school uniform but still cute with the 菊花查 and the "ahh" sound...haha.

One thing is what is the song?

Four Moons / Cuatro lunas

2014 film from Mexico, spanish

 

The 4 moons refer to the 4 phases of the moon, also the 4 life stages of a man....told in 4 different stories.

 

Four stories about love and self-acceptance: An eleven year-old boy struggles to keep secret the attraction he feels towards his male cousin. Two former childhood friends reunite and start a relationship that gets complicated due to one of them's fear of getting caught. A long lasting gay relationship is in jeopardy when a third man comes along. An old family man is obsessed with a young male prostitute and tries to raise the money to afford the experience.

Old stuff....just happened to see the MV again on youtube. From 2010 korean drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal, these 2 are very good friends (in a school) in the drama but their scenes are often so cute and intimate....so fans made a couple of gay-themed MVs on them. The actors are Song Joong-ki (the cute fair one) and Yoo An-In.

The 1st season consists of separate short clips...this 2nd one is a continuous drama about school life...ep 1 just started....abit slow-moving.

School romance? seems like the recent taiwan movie...but guess it's a common theme.

Read the credits...the starting title song is an original song...but i can't find the full song/mv.

I remember it would be shown in selected cinema....it is not those movies or short clips that go str8 to internet.

Probably after this...sell in dvd.

So if u r waiting for it to be avail online...think will take some time...not sure how long.

Hmmz.. the father look like his brother lor.. Wah piangz.. gay movies... Hmmmphh... 2 yrs gap different looks, also can call father as long as the suppose to be older guy got moustache can liaoz.. Tmd... Can be more realistic a not? Not everyone tiao kia at 18yr old one... Sg average first time father all 30+...

Errr,,,,the comic scenes got alot of stabbing and killing....well, i can't read thai and not sure of the comic sequence....but seriously hope the movie isn't like this.

 

Actually the same company made a previous gay movie called Teacher and Student...the teacher is very hot...and the trailer looked good too....but in the end, watched that movie online (had to wait many months), quite disappointed. Just hope this is not again some psychologically-flawed char(s).

It's alright to me, apart from the fact that the audience already know where the plot is heading but they dragged it ~2 hours. Would've been a decent short film.
