aycee
Yes. Opposite GMC there's one small CD shop has got very limited CDs for sale too. But then if you're someone who buys only original CDs, then GMC or the shop opposite it may not be a good place for you to visit. Their CDs and DVDs are all duplicated, and sold at a relatively expensive price. And also, you never know when the discs might become totally unreadable because ultimately they're all computer-burnt discs. For me I prefer to get it off from http://www.ethaicd.com. It cost just a few bucks more with shipping charges all included, and it doesn't really take long to ship.beach road where ? golden mile complex ? Guest rabbits milk
Milk is a talkie , they talk and talk and talk and talk, about someone who lived in the 80's early and was shot dead I think.Milk had to struggle with social mores of that time. He was outspoken he threatened the established way of doing things. he challeged he pushed , he had a boyfriend but that was not what he was remebered for. It was his unusual name that kept palying back and forth in my mind.

Guest FattChoy88
The movie is quite a contradiction,1/ The main pretty boy samurai, Kano, who is also a bottom is STRAIGHT acting through out the whole movie, save for the part where he grabbed the hunky samurai's hand. He is also the sluttiest one, doing it with almost everyone who pursued him.2/ Everyone else on the cast has a shadow of doubt cast on their sexual preferences. All of them, at one or more moment let me to question, "could he be a closet case or bi" The one least gay the hunky samurai who tried to set Kano up with a geisha. The other samurai who is absolutely straight is Soji, but he looks gay as hell with the long hair and pretty boy face.I think it's a very nice movie. I can't imagine the guy who played Hijigita, who always plays a tough guy in gory violent flicks, would together with everyone else, settle in a gay themed movie. Best of all, they did it in such a way as if to portray homosexuality in Ancient Japan doesn't cause any eyelids to bat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpCeXWPS1Ng...feature=related

The same old lame excuse to deny AJs of their rights has been recycled for 30 years. Can't they think of something more creative?Sorry I have to disagree with you. If it is there is a regard and respect for us as gays and our rights, then it is a passe topic, the fact that we are still marginalised and disregarded in society (take the repeal 377A) shows that there is so much more that needs to be done, both on our part and on the part of our straight brothers and sisters in cultivating an understanding and respect and acceptance.Granted, times are more liberal now, but how liberal is that? Is it truly an acceptance? Or it is a mere tolerance? The highlighting of Harvey Milk's attempt is commendable and it will surely enlighten the minds of the people who take it for granted that there is "freedom" in these days. That freedom and understanding, no matter how superficial was fought for with blood and sweat.BTW, can someone please tell me how to upload pictures here? doncoin
Just saw this telemovie the past weekend. Not sure if Singapore will ever screen it, but it had me bawling like a baby for the most parts. The movie is amazing with a strong message about the after effects of a suicide of a young gay man due to his mother's religious intolerance. Sigourney Weaver is incredible as Mary Griffin, the mother who after her son's death transforms the tragedy into a crusade to prevent suicides among LGBT youths. I am sure there are many young gay youths in Singapore as well who experiences similar situations as the one portrayed in the movie, so go watch it if it becomes available somehow. Quote Love. I thought that was a wake-up call for homophobic Christians. It reminded me of my past as an ex-Christian attending a very popular church where the pastor taught the congregation to treat homosexuality as an evil spirit and often they would pray fervently over this spirit of homosexuality. Many such Christians have no insights at all of what they are believing about agape love. And I am tired of the oxymoronic teaching that God loves gays but hate homosexual acts.I bravely walked out of Christian life and see light from another faith.
