Based on these videos outside the series, WZ seems like a humble and genuine person, thus making him more likable than before, most fans' initial attraction was towards ZY.

 

Just came across the live performance of 慢慢走 from an event (the same event where they performed 味道) , both leads sang WZ's song as a duet, and right after the performance you could see ZY slightly tear up a bit and he went on to admit he was touched and caught in the moment of the song. (Awwww)

Hardly surprising since most tops in any gay movie wiill tend to be the most popular ones. Eg. Tong from love of siam.

In terms of online viewership in China, Shang yin is just within top 10; hitting 100 million hits at episode 12 before it was pulled down from al streaming websites. If you compared to the current K-drama Descendants of the Sun, at episode 6 - online viewerships has already hit 600 million.

 

As there are many gays working in China entertainment industry (magazine editor, program producer, photographer, etc.) they did help push the two lead cast into spotlight. Inviting them to grace the cover of major magazine did help boost their popularity further, getting more people that did not watch Shang Yin know about them.

 

Amazing Race China's producer is a fan of Addicted and fans are bugging him online to get XWZ to pair up with HJY. :P The host of angelababy's birthday did ask HJY up on stage to sing her a birthday song, so that the guests (mostly from the entertainment circle) can get to know him more.

 

Bottomline for aspiring actors - get yourself casted in a gay show/movie....hahaha

In an ironic twist, the ban actually increased its popularity. Many of the people who became addicted to Addicted in China actually only know about the show after it was banned. The forbidden fruit phenomenon.

Pardon the extra viewer voice in the background...this was recorded from playing on a laptop.

 

Weizhou's latest song.

 

Someone wrote a song....lyrics are from GuHai's point of view with some storyline from future seasons. Recommend give it a listen. Find it quite good.

I only watched ep 1 of 睡在我上铺的兄弟 last time....thought it is very "str8"...a group of university roommates pursuing girls....at most good brothers. Maybe will see more episodes when free. I know got Chen Xiao (played yang guo of condor couple).

Well...i feel not fair to the drama 睡在我上铺的兄弟. I mean if it is a brief mention, or is a sequel or spin off, ok. But if really want to introduce that drama...want to start a new thread? I mean readers might overlook that drama as this thread's title only mention 上瘾.

 

If 上瘾 runs out of things to post...eg no season 2 or long wait, lack of interest....then so be it.

 

Well...dont misunderstand....if u only to share similar bromance drama here with Addicted fans...then we appreciate it too.

Related to jingyu. 小S might host a new cooking related show in china...called 姐姐好饿...what a name..haha.

Rumored her assistants are Huang jingyu n 利晴天 (Alex in 同乐会)...interestingly 2 gay chars from 2 dramas get together...haha...小S sure molest them....though she will invite hunky guests too.  Well note nothing confirmed yet. Opps....think the video clip said "or"....so guess is either one not both.

Recent collection of interviews with Jingyu....when asked, he said he is equally happy with both females n males liking him....then he made a comment about a pillar...mmm...sound similar to metal pole (weizhou's earlier comment)...he is ok with the CP label as long as ppl like him as a person too...and haha..he didnt know how to answer his grandma when she asked what theme his drama is.

 

I like when he wore white long sleeve shirt.

Jingyu recently sang this....he is not that skilled and sometimes i can't hear the actual words...plus not studio quality....but some said can hear his emotions from it...well he need to train abit plus record it more professionally.

I have just started to read the novel and it is a bit of a challenge as I'm not used to reading in Chinese but I'm gonna challenge myself anyway! Some interesting  details which were omitted in the web series

 

1. The series did not feature scene of the wedding between GH's dad and BLY's mom. At this point both leads had yet to meet each other but they were plotting on sabotaging the night for the newly weds respectively and it turned out to be a funny scene!

 

2. BLY has a habit of not finishing his food, he will always leave one last bite in his plate. It was then revealed the habit started with BLY's dad because he couldn't provide enough food for BLY while growing up, thus the last bite served as "additional" food for little BLY. As BLY grew up, he had started to learn to do the same for his dad. (I find this part quite touching, and it could have been easily added to the web drama)
