Continue to have news that any scenes of Jingyu or Weizhou had to be deleted from variety shows...eg 快樂大本營  and 全員加速中....so these shows are now trying to edit or re-record.

Even Jingyu's 極速前進 might be looking for replacement.

But still got many ppl unconfirmed about this news...eg 1 or 2 stations and Jingyu (or his agent).

I still can't understand why the actors had to be punished....and what they mean by "今後因違規而被下線的劇，其主角也不能用"? cannot use as cannot appear on variety shows....or any drama/movie etc cannot use them as actors again? if so, that means their career is doomed. I know maybe after a while eg 1 yr....probably can make a comeback....but still so unfair. At least just let them be as long as they don't promote the banned show or mention their chars (of that show) anymore.

 

Still find strange....why the authority only target them? so many actors whether experienced or newbies have acted as gay chars b4....or even ongoing....eg those actors in Counterattack series...no mention at all.

 

Jingyu's clip....how do u feel when he said "I'm your boyfriend today"? well, think it's female magazine....so target females...thus the lipstick.

Thanking his fans....and how do u feel when he said he will broadcast his showering to fans? haha...joking one.

Not starting new thread.....多情愫，今安在 The Raccoon is a China gay-theme internet movie....not shown yet.

Think it evolves mainly around 3 guys....my guess is Lao Si likes Xiao An who has some relationship with Maocai.

Mmm....the pic for Xiao An looks better than the actual person in the clips. Overall looks can't compare to Addicted or 烟袋斜街 (mentioned in new thread).

 

Actually can't find much on their story....but i like the songs in their MVs or trailers

Mmm....how come with all the negative news (either announced or rumored ones), producers in China are like mass-producing gay-themed dramas/movies this year? Won't they and the actors fear the possible obstacles?

Based on a gay-themed novel of same name by 蓝淋 (another female author like Addicted). Think got 2 main chars, then another one is a brother and another one more char....total 4 males....and 1 girl.

More like teaser....look abit dark with hatred theme....and one actor sounds abit "soft" to me. No production clips so far.

 

Again we would get attracted by looks 1st....then chemistry btw cast, storylines, songs etc.

Fans of 逆袭 were angry with the author that she used the money she made from selling 逆袭 Season 1 DVD to produce 上瘾 instead. Until now, there is no news on filming second season of Counterattack

Sad but life goes on. Wish them all the best. I watched Counterattack before I got to know of Addicted but I prefer Addicted way way more than CA. CA storyline is more weird. But I do think the doctor in CA is funny and cute. If you watch it, you're bound to compare the two so maybe go in with neutral expectations.

What do you think of Scud's films? I'm a bad judge as I can't appreciate film and I view his movies only to masturbate (I'm so turned on by the dead guy in Voyage and now this full frontal yacht guy in Utopia).  I thought his movies so far are a bit too indulgent (every single movie covers a lot about sex and sexuality, and the storylines that don't usually include frontal nude scenes) to treat as non-porn.

Saw Weizhou too when Jeff Chang got the award..Weizhou looks good in  formal attire.

A fan caught this moment when Jingyu (bottom right, initially diagonally 2nd guy, black with white collar) looked in Weizhou's direction (centre top, near camera man)....then when the latter turn to his direction, he looked down after a moment....when Weizhou looked forward again, Jingyu went back to previous direction....盯妻mode? Of course it might be the fans' fanciful thoughts....or as friends, they naturally tend to look out for each other. Now i think Jingyu not under Weizhou's company and also any organisers might not want extra attention....would not seat them together.

 

Sidetrack abit....about their restrictions (and ban?) on variety shows....compared to them....the leads from Counterattack had easier time last yr...they appeared together in quite a few variety shows including Running Man (a special ep where the koreans came to Wuhan china). The following is 大牌对王牌 dec 2015....the 2 leads were allowed to like carry one and turn around (see 8min onwards)...which i doubt Weizhou and Jingyu would be allowed to be so close nowadays.

Apparently the original seating arrangement placed them together, they requested to be seated apart. Probably to attract less attention from the authorities. I pity them, they can't even behave like normal friends need to keep a distance.

Think more than 1 news sources have confirmed that tomorrow 快乐大本营 will not show that ep with jingyu and weizhou.

 

And jingyu will be replaced in 极速前进.

 

Now there are worries that the 半妖 drama where Jingyu played a small role...will his scenes be affected or not.

 

I am not sure why hardly anyone protest...is it bcos they afraid make noise....might become worse...and affect other actors who had or going to play gay roles?

 

Sigh.....

 

Think right now they probably flying to bangkok...17 apr is the fan meeting event.

That's really unfair and I feel gutted that these actors have to suffer such blow to their careers just because they are 'unconventional'!

 

It seems like the last ray of hope for another season is slowly fading! 'Colder than water' as the Cantonese would say! Such a shame!

 

Anyway, came across this video capturing the journey of shooting the series from the beginning, it's quite nice to watch if  you are a fan of the on screen couple. I think I saw the footage from the promo event which took place back in February before but I did not notice how emotional JY got on stage until I saw it in this montage. Enjoy!

This is not the first time China authorities banned actor/actress from appearing on TV or any drama in China. 汤唯 was banned before - Copied from wikipedia In March 2008, China's State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT) ordered a media ban due to Tang's performance of sexual acts in Lust, Caution. Due to the controversy instigated by the statement, this was followed by discontinuing most of Tang's forthcoming TV commercials to endorse various snack foods and cosmetics. She went UK to study during this difficult period.

Thanks for sharing Dexter. I must admit I'm not familiar with the showbiz scene in mainland. Guess JY and WZ will not be the last to get this sort of backlash from their own country for being different.

 

I wonder if the so-called ban is causing WZ's album release plan to be postponed, it was intended for an April release and now he is saying May.

 

Read somewhere that the Bangkok event will be the last we will see of this web series.
