kitsune
I have been going on a plant-based diet after watching this documentary since the beginning of January 2019. I feel good taking on this diet and loose about 8 - 9kg ever since but some may not like it compare to other diets out there. So what is your take on this, yea or nay? singalion
Begleitung, the B12, omega3 fat, creatine and vitamin D3 are the issue with just plant based food. B12, which is necessary for the normal function of the nervous system and the formation of red blood cells. The TS mentioned his loss of 8 - 9 kg in 10 months (seems a bit phenomenal to me). But in the long term I would advise against just plant/fruit based diet due to the lack of the above mentioned vitamins and omega 3 fatty oils, which are important for the body also. Best is to read up what amount of meat is healthy just to give you the required vitamins and other items that meat stand for.

Yes, best is for YOU to read up what amount of plant-based diet is healthy to give YOU the required vitamins and other items, so that your brains can function well. B12 - found in nutritional yeast, fortified foods, cereals, mushrooms, and some algae. omega3 fat - found in walnuts, flaxseed, chia seeds, hemp seeds, edamame, seaweed, and algae creatine - found in creatine supplements commonly used by gym rats all over the world vitamin D3 - found in lichen. In fact, Vitamin D is the sunshine vitamin that has been produced on this earth for more than 500 million years. During exposure to sunlight 7-dehydrocholesterol in the skin absorbs UV B radiation and is converted to previtamin D3 which in turn isomerizes into vitamin D3! What is wrong with anyone losing 8-9kg in 10 months, which is less than 1kg every month??? Thousands of monks live on a vegetarian diets in Singapore, and that is not even including those general populations who are living off a vegetarian/vegan diet. Are they "unhealthy"? Last but not least, the person you should address is @kitsune, not Begleitung. This just goes to show no amount of meat diet can help with your brain! singalion
Most scientists say that the intake of supplements is less beneficial than taking the natural vitamin ingredient from food. On B12 you require to intake much more from the quoted food items, which can turn unhealthy in the end as it would result in being counterproductive. There are differences in Vitamin D and D3 (namely D2 and D3). You can do your own research. I wonder if you asked whether the monks take the supplements also. 😂
