Online retail and delivery guidelines

All other non-essential retail operations will remain suspended. Online retail and delivery may continue, only if the business comply with the following guidelines:

  • Retail storefronts must not be open to customers. Such establishments must clearly indicate that the store is closed for business;

  • Retail premises may be accessed by staff when necessary to fulfil delivery of online orders;

  • Customers are not allowed to collect merchandise from retail stores. Fulfilment of online orders should be through delivery only (e.g. third party logistics providers, SingPost, POPStations);

  • Retail establishments must limit the number of staff within its premises (e.g. warehouses, stores) to the minimum number required for order fulfilment. No other activities should take place within the premises;

  • Collection and delivery are spaced out and contactless;

  • Delivery personnel must observe at least one-metre spacing at all times and do not cluster together.

Safe distancing measures at retail establishments

Retail establishments that are permitted to open must implement safe distancing measures and put in place a queue management system to minimise crowding within their premises.

They must implement contact tracing through the use of the SafeEntry app by 12 May to facilitate the efficient collection of visitor information. They should also ensure that all staff and customers have their masks on, and that there is at least a one-metre spacing between customers at all times.

The establishments should use floor markers to clearly demarcate queue lines for customers at entrances, cashier counters, fitting rooms or where required. They should encourage the use of self-checkouts, cashless or contactless payment, to speed up the payment process and reduce cash-handling.

All malls, standalone stores and supermarkets must also conduct temperature screening for customers at entrances to detect customers with fever. In addition, supermarkets are encouraged to provide dedicated shopping hours for vulnerable groups, and remind customers to limit entry to one per family when shopping at their stores.

All retail establishments must also implement sanitation and hygiene measures listed by ESG on its website.

Should we presume that the letter code also means "A or B" belongs to both M and F? Asking because, as a top, I have no interest in "C or P" for the most part.

I think it is a stupid idea to scale back the lockdown at this moment of time.

When we have the lockdown, that would have been the BEST time to do mass community checks, so that we can try to identify those asymptomatic infected at their own homes. But nope, we wasted that golden opportunity to go test the foreign workers instead of the households, because I guess it is easier to do so. And because of that, our so-called number of "Singaporeans/PRs" infection per week became very artificially low, since Singaporeans/PR were not even tested on a mass community basis yet. I guess those low numbers made some simpletons happy everyday for the past two week.

But guess what? Whatever that we said of the dormitories becoming virus incubators for the virus release into the mass community when the lockdown is lifted, can now be said to be true of our very own domestic household now. Our households has become virus incubators for the virus release into the mass community when this lockdown is lifted. And the difference between the dormitory incubators and the household incubators? At least they did more test at the dormitory than the households to know how serious the dormitory situation is, whereas we still have no clue how widespread the virus is in our community, unless the 3 exported cases into JB from Singapore out of the few hundreds of returning Malaysians is a hint of the numbers to come.

Even though our individual houses are more spacious than the dormitory rooms, by now, the entire family should be infected if there had been one person in the family who was infected at the beginning. And  soon after the relaxation of the lockdown, all these infected people will be going to be set loose into the community soon, eg going to school, work etc. This is going to be a restart of our Feburary COVID-19 situation all over again, where everyone is going to start working and talking to asymptomatic people again. And when this happens, this whole month of lockdown which we went through, would have been for nothing. We are just going to learn and re-learn our lessons again and again.

I pointed out the dormitory was a disaster in the making, even before it turned out to be a real disaster last time. This time, I won't go as far as to say that it is going to be a disaster in the making, since we have better measures such as mask wearing and social distancing put in place. But still, these are very weak defense against our invisible enemy  So, I would expect the community spread to climb up to at least a doubling of our current numbers every day., or maybe even a tripling. And for sure, the numbers will NOT be going down.

If we want to maintain our current numbers, we need to quickly identify those people who has been infected within our mass community, and treat them right now. But of course, nobody cares. The foreign workers are so much more important than Singaporeans, right?

So good luck, everyone. Take care of yourself now.

Heard some people say they so fast easing some of the CB measures is due to the coming hari raya puasa,  esp for the haircut service. Cause they cannot allow our malays to have ugly hair for their new year. I hope this is the right move and hopefully would not trigger a surge of local new cases after the easing of CB measures  and ended up out of control like the dorm case! And then ended up we will have another months of CB again!

Our fatality number is increasing, think our healthcare system is overwhelmed and the standard of medical care has dropped given the large increase in cases.

Unfortunately there seems to be some limitation to the number of tests, I wonder what they are not sharing, must be state secret again. And the funny thing is the average number of daily test actually dropped quite a fair bit based on MOH released figures and yet someone came out and declared it has increased. It’s upside down world all over again.

It doesn't make sense to tighten the CB if the local infection rate is low, while other countries are starting to lead a normal life again.... CB not over cannot plan for election,  CB not over cannot open the door to the world again, they are already planning to open door for Beijing and Shanghai soon..... So yes is lots of inconvenience but positive side is enjoy peace and tranquility while u can  before all the mass tourists landed in this small island again and they are needed to revive our economy once again.

Don’t think have to worry so much, those quick cut ones disinfect them with UV, only idiots use the other end of the spectrum to do it.

Guest dog walking rule

The thing about the dog walking inside condo compounds I found funny. At least a bit entertaining.

Actually, I liked the regulation, because we have those irresponsible dog owners who allow the dogs to shit on the green patches in the condo at night, because they are lazy to walk the dogs outside (and inside the condo they don't need to remove the shit). The outside at our place is actually just 300m from the farthest point. This is one of the unresolved issues with condos. The law exists but you can't enforce them inside the condo. The management offices don't have the power to "issue" fines, only in areas provided by the rules. Meaning there are a lot of loopholes at condos for nasty behaviour and attitudes. (Smoking, littering, dog shit, cats and other pets.)

It is actually a sort of contradiction.

Sure, give people some space to breathe but unfortunately, there is always a black sheep who just takes these loopholes for his own way of breaking the rules.

But just one week the government turns the law and takes the regulation back for this dog walking on condo compounds?

Just wonder whether one daughter/son/ wife/ husband of one of the civil servants who had proposed the regulation was condemning her/his father because now she/ he / it had to walk so far in the heat to walk the dog. ha ha

I've been seeing an IG friend going to all nature reserves during CB. He even took photos without any mask on and i find it quite socially iresponsible.

Can anyone advise if he has flouted the rule?

Woman at Shunfu Mart allegedly refuses again to wear mask: 'I'm not a person, I'm a sovereign'

no-mask-woman-featured.png

At least two videos of a woman obstinately refusing to wear a face mask in public in Singapore has been circulating on Facebook on May 3.

With multiple pages and users uploading the videos to social media, the footage soon found its way to the notorious vigilante Facebook group SG Covidiots.

Allegedly pointed middle finger

In the first video, the woman, wearing a purple tank top and no mask, was engaged in a confrontation with two other patrons at the wet market believed to be Shunfu Mart.

While parts of the audio were unclear, the woman can be heard telling the other patrons, "You should have minded your own business", and "You should not have been shouting at me."

One of the other women told the woman in purple she was "wrong" to point her middle finger and say that the patrons at the wet market were Singaporeans.

"What mind our own business? This is our country!" the woman said.

Referenced previous incident

In the second video, the woman in purple was yet again in a confrontation at a different spot, with what appears to be a different group of people.

This time, the woman, still unmasked, shielded her face from the camera with an arm.

In this video, she referenced an earlier incident involving herself and the police at the wet market.

"I'll show you a video of the police, here! Same thing, trying to stop me. They walked off, without a warning, without a fine. I'm a sovereign! I am a sovereign. This is something that people are not gonna know what it means. They don't even know what a sovereign is. It means I have nothing to do with the police."

It is likely that she is referring to the following incident, which happened in April. Her claims that she was not fined, however, are unverified.

A male voice then chimed in that "it doesn't make any sense", and added, "If you're a person in Singapore you have to follow the rules of Singapore."

Upon hearing this, the woman turned around and said, "That's the thing, I'm not a person. I'm the people."

"What??" the man replies.

Throughout the 42-second clip, she was also holding on to another person's phone with one hand.

This woman is definitely asking for trouble.

She is doing this deliberately, as opposed to those old aunties and uncles who might not know they need to wear a mask.

No empathy for her at all!

Woman filmed not wearing mask at Shunfu market and claiming police 'have no say' over her investigated for public nuisance

SINGAPORE - A Singaporean woman who was filmed not wearing a mask at Shunfu Market and engaging passersby in a heated argument is under investigation for voluntarily causing hurt, causing public nuisance and breaching safe distancing measures.

According to preliminary investigations, the woman in the video, a 40-year-old Singaporean who had previously breached safe distancing measures, was not wearing a mask and had allegedly assaulted a 47-year-old woman who advised her to put one on.
