The Daiso ones are useless. its only effective in blocking dust, not effective in blocking airborne germs and particles. Thats why you dun see ppl snatching Daiso musks. Guest Maskgay
I bought online yesterday from qoo10, but need to wait for 2 weeks. 50 pcs for $28. Produced in Msia/Indo. Actually on the same day when SG just got its 1st case, locally produced ones (better quality) are only selling at 50 pcs for $15. But didnt see the need to buy then. Now regret. Guest WHO?
Typical psychology here, even if you believe it can save your life, seeking cheapest! Cheapest? Wear a tudung or a strip of toilet paper. However, experts doubt masks necessary unless you are spraying out virus yourself.

You are so clearly out of touch with the cost of the mask nowadays.
Guest Thomas Didymuz Toh
This is indeed a good time to wear my tudung and my surgical mask to reduce infection rate. however, I am running out of the masks. saw some video saying that it is possible to hand make the surgical masks. does anyone know how? thinking that hand making them would enable me to match the colours of the mask with tudung. Hehe 😜
Guest Mask
I suppose the face mask may be a permanent personal item from now onwards. So i am also trying to find a long term solution. The cheapest decent disposable mask that i can find is about 50 cents each. Besides cost, there is also the worry of environmental issue when so many disposable masks are dumped each day. So I reckon a washable mask with holder for filter may be more suitable for me. I bought some washable masks from Qoo10, each on average $10 plus and filter for about 20 to 30 cents each. So far so good.

I have never heard this "expert statement". Yes, if everyone wears a good mask, no virus will be expelled in form of mists. But then, you cannot take your mask off because not "everyone" would be wearing a mask.
