Your microscopic point only women can see.

I gay man only see big picture.  👏

You still cannot see the point huh? Never mind la. If you got big picture view, you would see it in a jiffy. Otherwise, point it out to you also cannot do anything.

“...lets not forget the "reverend" Jerry Falwell Jr. and his Liberty University, who said that "the coronavirus is a plot to hurt Trump".  Is this the kind of "respectable people" you were thinking of? ”

Nope. An eg of a respectable person is Trey Gowdy whom I had already mentioned in my earlier post. Gowdy was a federal prosecutor and served as Chairman of House Oversight Committee. He exposed the biasness which Peter Strzok and Lisa Page had even before completing the investigation in the supposed Russian’s involvement (Russian probe) in helping Trump win the election. Both had already pre-judged an outcome of an investigation before it was concluded. Peter Strzok was apparently the lead investigator from FBI in the Russian probe n Lisa Page was FBI attorney who was also involved in the Russian probe n Hillary email probe. Peter Strzok like Comey (FBI director handling Hillary’s email probe) were both fired.

Gowdy in action:

How did u draw the conclusion that republicans being rich n “powerful” necessarily mean they own or control most of the media?

“Remember, the press is FREE, not constrained by ideology.

Again, u r missing the point. Being FREE and not constrained by ideology doesn’t mean they are responsible or impartial in reporting.

Your GOWDY is NOT a respectable person but a dirty lawyer who exploits all the fabrications by the Republicans.  The whole "treason" thing and email issues they surrounded Hillary with was nothing but hot air. Compare that with the serious impeachable violations Trump committed and how deceptively the Republicans behaved in the trial (McConnell said publicly that he would not impeach Trump before the trial where HE WAS A JURY)   Read about the barbarity your Gowdy said recently:

"“The best remedy of all is to no longer have to rely on the [Defense Production Act] and the best way is for American manufacturers to make the things we need for our national security,” the former House Oversight Committee chairman told “Fox & Friends.”

In these times where hundreds of thousands of Americans may die in the pandemic, this selfish idiot sees the BUSINESS opportunities offered by the pandemic.  This is the attitude of the Republicans,  who worry about the economy much, much more than about the people.   This evil ideologist fails to say that America HAS TODAY the capacity to manufacture everything that is needed to combat the pandemic.  But manufacturers have shown no interest in making things for pandemics.  The labor is cheaper overseas, and this is what they care about.

The Defense Production Act is a necessary tool for the government to FORCE manufacturers to produce life saving equipment in an emergency, which they would not otherwise do because it may not be so profitable. But the money-hungry Republicans don't like to be FORCED even so little against their personal interests.

Do u have proof that Gowdy is a ‘dirty’ lawyer and what fabrications did Republicans made and how did Gowdy exploit them if they ever exist?

How is Hillary using a private email to transmit classified information hot air? That is very serious as hackers can easily get access to it n stage strikes on vulnerable US missions or anticipate US attacks. Lives will be lost!  And is this kind of carelessness or gross negligence a trait we want to see in a head of state? And mind u, this was only discovered when they were investigating her for her screw-up of Benghazi. She got a slap on the wrist by not winning the election n was extremely lucky for not being indicted n prosecuted.

McConnell being 1 of the many senators will not affect the outcome of the trial as there needs to be at least 24 Senators to vote not-guilty to acquit Trump. Similarly, even before the impeachment trial, there were many Democrats who indicated they will vote to impeach Trump. Aren’t they the same as McConnell whom u talked about??

From where in this quote did Gowdy even remotely imply business opportunities? In fact, what he means is gd for US. He is asking for more manufacturing capabilities to naturally exist in US without having to force manufacturers to produce them under Defence Production Act(DPA) This is not easy to do as it has to be profit-making or enough to pay wages n other operating/fix costs.

One of the reasons why labour is cheaper overseas is because of standard of living. As a country progresses, they will want to stop producing low value-added goods as the population gets more educated.

Like what u mention, DPA is evoked only in times of emergencies such as war or pandemic. How often do emergencies happen in a year? Why would profit-making corporations produce something that is loss-making? Who pays for such loss-making goods? It is a balancing act between when n how often such events occur n how viable to produce them at home? Imagine the US makes 500,000 ventilators a year at a loss of $1000 each when the whole of US only need 20,000 of them a year. Who will pay for the remaining 480,000?

First, it is not clear that she "screwed up" in Benghazi.  The republicans had blocked funds for the protection of the foreign service members.  Second, she is not the only one who used private email servers.  Was it Ivanka or Jared Kushner who did this?  And, even much, much worse,  why did these guys receive top security clearances ...  just because they are members of Trump's family?  No other president has exercised such blatant nepotism.

Thank you.  You just explained why the DPA is essential to force American manufacturers to produce what is crucial for the protection of the land.   There is NO SHORTAGE of manufacturers now in America.  What needs to be manufactured now for the pandemic is a drop in the bucket of the manufacturing capacity.  For GM to make thousands of ventilators is easy compared to making tens of thousands of complex cars.  Cuomo quoted the cost of a ventilator like $20,000.  We can be sure that there is a lot of padding in this price, like in all the medical equipment.  And usually the market for ventilators is not large enough to motivate big manufacturers to get involved.

Today, the pandemic is a special situation. We need tens of thousands of ventilators NOW,  and hopefully in a short time the majority of these will be superfluous. What will happen to them? Who will eat the cost?  BECAUSE of this unique situation, manufacturers should not profit from them but should make them AT COST.  The state governments, the hospitals, will have to absorb the cost, and this means that WE will be burdened with it.    Manufacturers should be satisfied if they don't lose money, they should not be allowed to profit from the tragedy we are living.

Hillary being Secretary of State using a private email to send classified information and to have deleted 30,000+ emails is unfathomable. Hillary is not a low-ranking government official who has minimal security clearance. She is the Secretary of State who has direct n unfettered access to the President almost on a daily basis. Also, she would likely be present for daily security briefings.  Had there not been the Benghazi investigation, we may not even know of her email blunder. Like I have mentioned, her private email may be easily hacked and that would easily put US military or government employees lives at risk, not to mention overall national security of US. Ivanka or Jared Kushner are not Secretary of State. If their security clearances are issues, why were there no investigations?

“So because McConnell was only ONE example of corrupt jury member (in reality there were many more), this makes it OK?”

McConnell and the Democrat Senators are voting along party lines at the impeachment trial. How is this corrupt? In addition, there were already many Democrat Senators who are giving interviews to express their views that Trump should be impeached before the impeachment trial. Should they be prosecuted? We are not seeing these senators being prosecuted means it is OK. However, in Peter Strzok and Lisa Page case, they were the investigators and should be neutral. Both already concluded very early on in their investigations they will stop Trump from being President. Isn’t this extremely disgusting and bias? Peter Strzok was fired as was Comey (FBI director) who in Jul16 came out publicly to say Hillary should not be prosecuted for the email blunder. I have no legal basis to say Comey is corrupt but at least he is stepping beyond his given powers to make such conclusions. It should be left to the AG to ultimately determine if Hillary should be prosecuted.

“The best remedy of all is to no longer have to rely on the [Defense Production Act] and the best way is for American manufacturers to make the things we need for our national security,” the former House Oversight Committee chairman told “Fox & Friends.” -> your quote from Trey Gowdy

Think u misunderstood my point on Gowdy’s point above. Gowdy feels that DPA is not necessary if under natural n normal conditions manufacturers are already producing things required for national security. For this, u accused Gowdy of wanting business opportunities. I have explained it is not easy under normal circumstances as manufacturers are profit-driven. If making such equipment causes them to lose money, why would they do it? If it is not profit making, your point about business opportunities is moot since the latter implies profits.

In an utopian world, agree with u manufacturers may have the capacity to make ventilators. However, when was the last time the whole world needed large no. of ventilators almost all at the same time? Now it is the Covid19 pandemic. Do u know when and what will be the next global emergency? If we don’t know, how will these US manufacturers know what to make as part of their spare capacity even if they are willing to make them at cost?

If they are making stuff that there is no immediate demand for, won’t people accuse them of being not environmentally sustainable?  Thus, it is a tough balancing act.

Your utopian world is nonsense.   Manufacturers don't make products that are not in demand.  The demand can be a reasonable reserve stock.  But in this pandemic a reasonable reserve is not enough,  and the government needs the authority to force manufacturers to produce what is critically necessary.  You cannot dance around this fact.

I also like the way he "presented" his point of view. This is so that I can have a lot of fun exposing all his LIES one by one! Hahahahaha ..... I still cannot get over how somebody tried to hide the fact that he used the population data from 1958 to support his claims. In fact, there are even more LIES which he had told, but I think the use of the 1958 data with him trying to omit out the YEAR and just reporting the numbers, really took the entire cake away. Hahahahahaha ....

As for you, please don't pretend you know anything about the life of a pilot, please. I don't know what type of pilots you know, and what type of planes they fly.  But "UV rays at high altitude" can penetrate the cockpit glass? I just don't want to argue with you (at least not yet) because I want to argue more with that foreign trash @singalion and I am waiting for him to tell more lies.

Y r u asking me y are Ivanka and Jared Kushner not investigated? Shld be asking Nancy Pelosi or AG this. The US constitution provides that there r certain things even the president cannot stop. Thus, if investigating Jared n Ivanka cannot be stopped by Trump, why r there no investigations on this?

Were there issues raised on the rules set by McConnell? Him giving his opinion n setting the rules r different matters. Nancy Pelosi n the some other Dem senators n Congressmen already expressed their opinions that Trump is guilty of obstruction of justice n abuse of power before the impeachment trial, n they are also involved in the entire impeachment process n trial. If there r issues with McConnell, there should be issues with them as well.

“An investigator can be personally biased.  The investigation cannot be decided on a personal opinion but needs some facts...”

That is ur opinion. However, the person who is in an authoritative position [think is the Inspector General(IG) ]who was answering Trey Gowdy’s queries stated that it was inappropriate for investigators to be personally bias to the subject he/she is investigating. What’s more is the IG mentioned that once he found out about Strzok’s bias against Trump through the text messages, he removed Strzok from the investigations. This proved that investigators cannot be personally biased.

“But in this pandemic a reasonable reserve is not enough,  and the government needs the authority to force manufacturers to produce what is critically necessary.”

LOL!  This can go on forever...   it feels like you are teasing!

The issue came up when you brought in your GOWDY,  who wants to do away with the DPA.

Trump evoked the DPA LATE and to my knowledge, only with GM to manufacture ventilators.

There are thousands of manufacturing places who could have produced millions of N95 masks and other PPE.

Instead of invoking them, forcing them to produce,  Trump must have dedicated his time to golf and to promote himself

Guest Illogical is clearly just trying to troll you, Steve, as evidenced by him claiming Gowdy as an honest and impartial person. The same Gowdy who publicly admitted after leaving office that the Benghazi investigations were set up specifically hurt Hillary's chances of becoming President. Not to mention the same Gowdy who repeatedly voted for anti-gay laws, but is clearly a closet case who will eventually cross the wrong people and get outed, just like his buddy Schock. Completely ridiculous.

The only thing Guest Illogical is doing is copying and pasting Republican propaganda from Fox, OAN, Sinclair, Limbaugh, and Breitbart. He clearly knows very little about American politics or culture as compared with Singaporeans like me who have actually studied, lived, and spent significant time in America. Trump is a criminal who posed as a real estate developer, falsely claimed to be a billionaire, hosted a game show, started spouting political opinions, and then pulled off the con job of a lifetime.

His chickens are coming home to roost now. Three years of "executive time" to watch television (primarily Fox), playing golf, typing on Twitter, playing golf, spouting multiple obvious lies on a daily basis, playing golf, burning through staff like he's still hosting a game show, playing golf, ignoring intelligence reports, playing golf, making up asinine policies before quickly reversing them or replacing them with worse policies, playing golf, and extorting foreign countries, are not ways to run a nation.

Also to invoke the screen name of another guest, stop telling lies, Biden does NOT have dementia. I watched his last debate with Bernie in its entirity as well as his CNN Townhall on Rona and he was in control of all the facts. The Republicans, Fox, OAN, Sinclair, Limbaugh, and Breitbart are trying the same dishonest play they ran against Hillary in 2016 -- make up fake rumors about his opponent's health, spread them to gullible people, and reap the rewards -- such as Mediacorp's so-called "body language expert" Chua repeating the idiocy that Hillary had "health issues" four years ago which he probably picked up from he original "fake news" fed to him by Facebook.

Trump is a criminal, a con artist who pulled off the con job of a lifetime, and a pathological liar who has now told more lies than any two other US Presidents combined in the history of the country. His only concern is to do whatever it takes to stay in office until the statute of limitations has expired and he can avoid prosecution for the hundreds of crimes he committed over the years including tax fraud, forgery, bribery, illegally laundering money for Russian oligarchs and mafia kingpins, and attempting to upend America's foreign policy in a way that weakens the US and allows Russia to regain much of its Cold War superpower status. He will do anything for money.

Trey Gowdy is a Republican, Hillary is Democrat. Why would it be so surprising that the Benghazi issue is not an open secret that it is to hurt Hillary’s chances to be the President? Gowdy was not one of investigators in the Benghazi probe. He was dutifully fulfilling his role as Chairman of House Oversight Committee in Benghazi probe. This role requires him to question if there were lapses in the security of overseas mission in Benghazi n the top person in charge of overseas Mission, which happens to be under Department of State headed by Hillary. What do u expect Gowdy to do? Just shut up during the hearings n close the Benghazi hastily? Or not have a probe at all after a US ambassador n a few other US servicemen were killed? Also, it is worthy repeating again without the Benghazi probe, Hillary’s gross negligence in using a private email to transmit classified information would never have surfaced. Not to mention she deleted 30,000+ emails.

In the Russian probe, Gowdy was sharp in discovering 2 investigators Peter Strzok n Lisa Page were clearly bias against Trump n stated they would ensure Hillary win

s 100 million to Zero. It is ironic that the Russian probe which is obviously started to question the legitimacy of Trump’s campaign turned out to expose the investigators’ support for Hillary n bias against Trump.

Trump is a criminal who posed as a real estate developer, falsely claimed to be a billionaire, hosted a game show, started spouting political opinions, and then pulled off the con job of a lifetime.

Do u have evidence to prove Trump is a criminal or proof that he is not a billionaire? Forbes listed him as a billionaire. Is Forbes lying? In any case, how does being a billionaire or not affect him as a President? Obama, Hillary, Biden n in fact not many past US presidents are billionaires. How does hosting a game show affect him being a President?

How does having studied, lived n spent significant time in US lend legitimacy to conclude u r objective n not bias against Trump? Likewise, as much as u assert I am merely pasting Republicans progranda from FOX etc, I can also conclude u r conditoned n indoctrinated by anti-Trump narrative most of the other media are pandering given the significat time spent in US.

Are ‘extorting’ foreign nations to Trump’s own benefit or are they for the benefit of Americans? Also characterising him nullifying the various trade deals as extortion is blatantly unfair. The outcome of these actions saw unemployment rates dropping to their lowest in many decades. If he can achieve this while playing a lot of golf, he must be extremely capable.

The only "little pussy girls" that I know are your decrepit mom and your slutty sister, whose butt was willingly hurt as I pounded her ass senseless all the way from Tampines East to Jurong West, the type of pleasure a whiny hideous toxic bitter incel like you will never experience because even stinky breath PRC money boys refuse to lower themselves to cavorting with anyone as pathetic as you.

Oooooo ... little pussy girl is still having some sore butt over after getting served back her own medicine?

Since mothers and sisters have been brought into the picture here, maybe you can go take some pointers to cure your hurt butt from your whore mother, and learn how she stretch all her holes to take in all the multiple big black cocks when she went to USA to visit you? Since you seems to know so much about paid sex, was it because she related to you how she paid to have her cunt, mouth and nose fucked? Watch out for a new dark skin sister coming into the family soon, OK? If a whiny bitch like you can come into the family, nothing is going to stop another bastard princess from happening in the family again. Don't worry about pounding anyone senseless, since guniangs like you don't even have a prick to make babies cry even during your pedophilic activities.

So again...

There were so many video evidence of Biden speaking incoherently, mixing up numbers and sometimes just incomprehensible. Let’s assume Biden doesn’t have dementia, but do Americans want someone who cannot express himself or articulate himself well in the world stage? Also not to mention he likes kids jumping on his lap:

Statute of limitations take my years to take effect, upwards of 20years? The maximum Trump can stay as President is 8years. How does Trump staying on for 4 more years help him? He has been in business for 40-50years. If there were any criminal activities on his part, it would have been investigated then.

In fairness to Biden, he has never been a great public speaker, and there is a serious reason for that. He was born with a stuttering problem, and worked his entire life to overcome it, but an issue like that never full goes away. I think he is to be admired for overcoming all the bullies that picked on him as a kid, going on to serve 36 years in the Senate, and 8 more as Vice President. The fact that he screws up when speaking sometimes is what endears him to many people, similar to Bush the Second, as a regular guy.

Biden has also overcome a lot of tragedy in his life. Just a few weeks after becoming the second youngest man ever elected to the US Senate in 1972, his wife died in a car accident and his young children were injured, in fact that's why his son Hunter is so daft despite being a talented lawyer. Biden wanted to quit immediately, but was talked out of it, and America is better for his service. What he did do was take the train home nearly three hours almost every night to make sure he could at least tuck his kids into bed.

Those things are why Americans like Biden and they also see that he is truly a big hearted and friendly guy. He isn't eloquent, but neither was Bush the Second, and certainly not Trump. But compared to Obama, Clinton, or even Reagan, it is difficult for anyone else to be considered all too eloquent. What matters if Biden becomes President will be his 44 years of international experience with foreign leaders and domestic policy, his ability to appoint a good staff, and their aptitude at fixing the problems they will face.

The dynamics of international relations and certainly foreign leaders would have changed a lot over 44 years. Biden having no other real experience outside of politics n government may not bode well as a President. That said, he is not completely incapable assuming he really doesn’t have dementia. At best, Biden makes a good Secretary of Health and Human Services if indeed his endearing nature is his biggest strength.

Forbes has admitted that Trump conned them. He even called them pretending to be his accountant while disguising his voice. They never verified his actual wealth.

You know very well extortion refers to trying to force Ukraine to announce a fake investigation of Biden for a fake scandal over his son's old job to hurt his campaign.

... Biden with all his powerful friends in all the other countries can jolly well do the same back to Trump if he wants to. Besides, if Biden is really unable to stand up to such mild attacks when he is touted to have such good foreign relationships when he was in office, then it just goes to prove that his reputation is just a bunch of belony.

The Benghazi probe was to investigate what happened that led to US citizens being killed there n learning points to prevent a repeat. If someone else was the Secretary of State n who was not contesting the election, the probe would still have happened. In this case, it just so happened that Hillary was the Secretary of State during the Benghazi mishap. It is most fortuitous that the Benghazi n private email usage proves happened before the election period that people got to see Hillary’s capabilities or lack of.

Does one’s wealth impact his or her ability to be a President?

Hunter Biden did not have any experience in Ukraine or oil n gas or China n equities. But strangely, Hunter became a board member of Burisma (gas company) in Ukraine n secured a 1.5billion deal with Chinese bank for an equity firm after Joe Biden was appointed point person in Ukraine and visited China respectively. Joe even allegedly got the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Hunter fired. It was ‘fake’ scandal because Joe Biden did not allow it to happen when he was VP. If Hunter didn’t do anything wrong, why did he step down from Burisma board?

SINGAPORE - Foreign workers who are unwell are being identified and separated from other workers, said the multi-agency task force tackling the Covid-19 outbreak, adding that even those who do not show symptoms but are close contacts of confirmed cases are being tested.

"So if we have any concerns, particularly in any of the dormitories where there is, in fact, an infected foreign worker, then we want to know where they are and we will make plans to test as many of them as is possible."

Work is ongoing to test asymptomatic workers or those with minimal symptoms, Prof Mak said.

This is a complete and total lie. Hunter Biden is a lawyer, and the boards for just about every corporation have lawyers, and Burisma is no different. It does not matter that he had no experience in Ukraine or gas or China. He had experience in legal issues. The only thing he did wrong was, as the son of a prominent Democrat, working for a gas company.

The Ukraine prosecutor was not investigating Hunter. Nobody was investigating Hunter. The Ukraine prosecutor was refusing to investigate any corruption in the country (allegedly because he was bribed not to do so) and the EU wanted him fired because the corruption he was ignoring was spilling over into EU companies doing business in Ukraine.

The US sided with the EU and demanded that the Ukraine prosecutor start investigating corruption at many corrupt companies including Burisma. He refused, so the US and EU (also supported by NATO and the G7) sent Joe Biden to Ukraine to demand the corrupt prosecutor's firing, because of the fact that he refused to investigate Burisma and others.

This is the complete opposite of what your lies are claiming. But you already knew that. You simply think it's fun to spread Republican lies. Biden wanted the corrupt prosecutor fired for NOT investigating the company his own son was working with. His son, by the way, wasn't involved in the corruption but Democrats should never work for gas companies.

In addition, my posts about Taiwan's great job against coronavirus, and Trump's failures against coronavirus in response to @Since u r here, did not need to be deleted, as they could have been moved like the rest.

I would have posted them in the other thread from the beginning if you would have clamped down on the racist troublemaker trying to use Blowing Wind to spread his vendetta against the WHO Director-General several times a day. I'm not African, and I don't care that he dislikes Africans as long as he is not spreading public racism, but his constant attacks against Tedros are personal.

The sort of words and terms he uses are in clear violation of BW rules against racism. He doesn't have to date or even befriend Africans in his personal life, but there is no reason for BW tolerating his blatant racism over the last few months, and that is what his posts about Tedros, Kobe Bryant, and many others promote. Please move racist posts to the Flaming Room upon sight. Thanks.

You should get a better Guest nick, your nick seems already a bit offensive or register as member.

Please note the Moderators have limited time to clean up. Further, due to repeating violations, the Moderators often end up to become more "thick skinned" over time and are not as "sensitive" towards violations as maybe new readers are. If you have a "nice" tone, then Moderators will listen or react. As Moderators are human beings as well, maybe write an internal report (see above "Report post" and highlight the issue to the Moderator first. Nobody likes to be criticized in public!

Obvious racist posts should in my personal view not be moved to the Flaming Room, but should be deleted indefinitely.

Such posts should not have any room at BW at all.

If they are only moved to the Flaming Room such posts remain somehow "valid". This should not be the case.

What is very important for everyone here: Don't quote any such racist posts because with your quotation the post remains visible. Make reference to it but refrain from quoting any of these "critical" posts.

If you had noted, most media will not mention the racist slur again but will delete it away. Any article reporting about any racist statement will not mention what in detail had been said or written but will make reference to it. At least this is the position in Asia.

I had mentioned “allegedly”. Next, how do we know nobody was investigating Hunter? Would investigators make public who they are investigating lest they unnecessarily alert the subject of their investigations? Usually it is only when there is sufficient evidence to charge someone under investigation that it will be made public or made known to the subject.

Even if we assume the board of Burisma and the Chinese firm need lawyers to tap on their legal expertise, why Joe Hunter, and why did it happen so shortly after Joe Biden visited China and was appointed the point person on gas matters for Ukraine? Are there no other lawyers in the world who can do what Hunter Biden do?

“His son, by the way, wasn't involved in the corruption...”

What evidence do u have to prove Hunter wasn’t involve in the corruption? It is a conundrum that if assuming you could be right nobody is investigating Hunter, how can we then conclude he is not involved in the corruption?

Why am I not surprised that the government will pin the blame on any possible extension of the circuit breakers on Singaporeans? https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/covid-19-circuit-breaker-mask-enforcement-masagos-coronavirus-12649274

When the first cases of the WUHAN-VIRUS was brought in by the WUHAN residents, they didn't blame the PRCs for importing the virus onto our land. When the number of infected foreigners rocketed past 1000 infections, they didn't blame the foreigners for not taking precautions. But when people flouted the safe distancing rule in a country that is overcrowded with almost half the populations made by foreigners, it is ALL Singaporeans fault.

If they want to extend the circuit breaker period, just do so. Don't use us Singaporeans as the excuse to do so, especially when PAP MPs can go around flouting the circuit breaker rules themselves.

I hope those 70% Singaporeans are happy to play the role of whatever scapegoats that the government want to make us out to be.

I guess you forgot all these, you forgot very fast, just last 6 days!!! Memory loss I assume.

SINGAPORE - 17 April 2020

Close to 50 people were caught on Thursday (April 16) for not wearing their masks in public on the first day that the mandatory rule was enforced.

Another 150 people will be fined for breaching safe distancing measures, said Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli on the same day.

Over 2,900 warnings issued, 40 people fined as many decide to head out on public holiday

16 April 2020

The authorities noted an increase in the number of people flouting the rules at the start of the long weekend, issuing more than 2,900 stern warnings and imposing $300 fines on 40 people.

400 more cases of people fined for breaking safe distancing rules, 19 in hawker centres and markets.

SINGAPORE — The authorities are imposing more than 400 fines on people who failed to comply with safe distancing rules, for offences that took place on Tuesday and Wednesday (April 15).

Over 200 fines of $300 issued for non-compliance of measures.

13 April 2020

More than 200 composition fines of $300 were issued to members of the public who did not comply with elevated safe distancing measures across Singapore yesterday, as stiffer penalties for such breaches kicked in, said the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources.

Police assistance was required for more than 20 non-cooperative cases.

The number of fines was much fewer compared with the 3,000 warnings issued on Saturday, said Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli in a Facebook post last night.

Can you add the numbers up for us please!

Still want to say Locals behaving better???

Stop posting clear untruths.

It is a matter of sheer logic to conclude for the approximate 5,000 to 7,000 (as of 17 April 2020) safe distancing, circuit breaker regulations violators, non mask wearing infringers to be Singaporeans.

MOM has so far published all violators gathered from all agencies issuing fines for work pass holders breaching circuit breaker measures on the website.

MOM Website:

From 10 April 2020 to 12 April 2020, officers from multiple government agencies including MOM, the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources and the National Parks Board, issued a total of 39 fines to work pass holders found in breach of circuit breaker measures. These individuals were found to have gathered in groups, engaged in group exercise or participating in recreational activities like frisbee or football with persons who did not live in the same household.

13 April 2020: MOM also conducted separate inspections today to ensure that workers are observing circuit breaker measures.  Despite past enforcements carried out in the vicinity of Tuas View Square, our inspectors found 24 work pass holders eating, drinking, and gathering in groups. To send a clear signal of the seriousness of the offense, MOM has decided to revoke all 24 work passes and permanently barred the individuals from working in Singapore.

This shows out of the maximum 5,000 to 7,000 violators of safe distancing measures and circuit breaker regulation, there have been only 39 plus another 24 foreigners involved during the time from 10 April to 13 April.

If you are unable to accept this fact, then it is your own problem.

@fab should just refrain from this constant bickering against foreigners and fingerpointing to foreigners. Singaporeans don't behave better.

Some videos covering some expats on social media is not representative of the complete situation. Don't draw conclusions from some videos posted online. Plenty people in Singapore from a certain ethnic background tend to point to others but ignoring the misbehaviour or crimes committed by their own ethnic in Singapore.

I strongly rebut any allegations I would only point to crimes or faults of Singaporeans. This is a clear untruth: I point out all misbehaviour of anyone irrespective whether the person is local or foreigner, and what ethnic background, age, sexual orientation he/she has.

Here are some numbers on Criminals on Singapore:

From all prisoners in Singapore 10,731 are Singaporeans and 1,138 are Foreigners (2019 statistics):

Using data to mislead the general public again? Like how @singalion tried using the 1958 population data and pretend it to be recent ones? Which prison houses more foreigners than their own local? Besides, remember the Little India riot? 300 over rioters but how many were charged?  Most simply had their work permit cancelled and simply repatriated back to their own country, and maybe together with a fine .

I m not sure whether concentrating just on Foreign Workers and S Pass Holders in the construction sector will be sufficient to contain the further spread of Covid19 in the Foreign Worker communities.

It would have been advisable to close down all other Foreign Workers operations (with excluding extremely necessary ones) in order to get the spread of the virus in control. Why is the start only planned in 2 days? This is too long.

This step by step policy, just concentrating on Construction and the start of measures costs too much time and causes too much spread of the virus. Be more active than simply reactive!

Agree. They should evict foreign trash like you out of the country too.

Virus may spark 'devastating' global condom shortage
Sam Reeves, with Beiyi Seow in Beijing, AFP

A global condom shortage is looming as the coronavirus pandemic shutters factories and disrupts supply chains, the world's top maker of the contraceptives said, with the United Nations warning of "devastating" consequences.

Over half of humanity has been confined to their homes as the highly contagious virus marches round the planet, while governments worldwide have ordered the closure of businesses deemed non-essential.

Malaysia -- one of the world's top rubber producers and a major source of condoms -- imposed a nationwide lockdown last month as infections surged to the highest level in Southeast Asia.

But restrictions on the operations of Malaysian contraceptive giant Karex, which makes one in every five condoms globally, mean the firm expects to produce 200 million fewer condoms than usual from mid-March to mid-April.

Don’t understand why people here are still biting to “he said healthy people don’t need to wear mask”. :frustrated:
Last time policemen wore shorts. Now, policemen oredi wear long pants.

Simple ... look at the situation of Taiwan where people were encouraged to wear mask all the way at the beginning, and look at the situation of Singapore now. Those type of bad advise has caused us significant damage to the extent that the entire economy has almost come to a standstill now. You may be very forgiving to your Masters enough to turn your blind eye towards all their mistakes in the hope that the wind will blow everything away to be hidden under the carpet, but I will not turn a blind eye away to that. People must be held answerable and accountable for that, regardless if that type of bad policies was made when policemen wore shorts or just two months ago. Nobody should be paid MILLIONS each year to make such horrifying mistakes.

Bad apples exist in every batch, every organisation whether govt , quasi-govt or private.  So if you are going to terminate contracts, your company will close shop because you have nobody to work.

I am not saying hygiene is not important.  But you are very overly obsessed with it.  We do not just complain about hygiene.  We also complain about physical distancing.  Our local clusters show that gathering in physical proximity is the common factor.  You can talk about toilets whole day but ultimately, it is the physical closeness that is the chief culprit.

And by using loaded words like "malingering" and "deliberately get infected", you are maligning these workers.  Your malicious xenophobic agenda is exposed, Auntie OCD.

LOLOL, @Nightingale aka Nightwhore picking fights again with everyone in the forum and boboshooting again?

What's new?

If those guys would rather have their contracts terminated instead of cleaning up after their own hygiene, then my company won't need them.

So what do you want next? Personal rooms for them now and after the COVID-19? Maybe you are indeed the very person who is encouraging them to malinger and get infected because that is exactly what they will be having at those isolation places like Expo and maybe the cruise ships!

Talking is easy.  Try and set up a company whereby your place cameras in every toilet, every bunk so that Big Brother is watching your every step and move.  And you also need to hire extra guards to spy on every camera to see who does not practise hygiene.  If you can maintain enough number of workers to work without disruption, and you have enough resources to do all this Orwellian society,  then I salute you.

Some stupid people never learn!  People who has gone through NS will know how to ensure who gets correctly penalized for dirty toilets.

As usual, the boboshooting is forever...

Oh yes, I encourage malingering, I encourage infection.  Are you happy now?  Blame blame blame!

At least we are clear about that now.
