Singapore Swimming Complex/Pool

Recently has been seeing a few guys swimming in dark colored underpants at ActiveSG pools! The type that looks cotton-nylon and becomes skin clinging in contact with water.

The bulge is so obvious especially from behind when they're swimming breast stroke.

Quite daring when alot of kids and parents around with swimming classes etc

Very nice and quiet at Kallang Basin pool now. Weather is good for suntanning too.

Yeah. I’m surprised yet extremely pleased that the pool is quite today (or at least when I was there).

Oh, is there tanning deck at KB pool?

The tanning decks are all at the teaching pool , which is closed now.
However, I saw someone has moved one of the deck to the stairs at the deep pool today. Not sure if it’s going to stay there or not.

Yeah. ActiveSG pools are closed on 1st and 2nd day of CNY. Reopening on the 3rd and I also starting work on the 3rd. Could not take much advantage of the CNY holidays for swims.

@bluerunner hapi CNY. U can go swim evenings, much more hotties than daytime. Beside hot weather returns, same for sch kids for their swim lessons.

I realised that many pools at the east side are taken up by some schools or swim ‘academy’ or association to conduct classrs

or waterpolo training in the evening. Starting from 7-9pm, the entire pool could be occupied. How outrageous!

Entire pool closed off to public? Shouldn’t they at least open a lane or two for general public users. Used to swim evening at RV / QT and and they never closed the entire pool so good chance to relax by the side after laps ogling the hot bods.

Suppose to be Q3 this year

Oh has it been 3years already, time flies. When they first put up the sign, I thought it was outrageous that they had to spend that long to rejuvenate.

On the pool closure from 7-9pm, I am unsure if it’s whole pool or not. As far as I remember, there wasn’t any indication of number of lanes taken up on the notice. I would assume it’s the entire pool. Otherwise, they will indicate lane 3-5 or 3 lanes.

On the closure of Queenstown pool for reno: 3 years is nothing compared to TPY pool of 6-7years. Some older regular swimmers may no longer be around when it reopens. :(

@bluerunner indeed 3yrs is pretty long and yes many regulars would be fondly and dearly missed when reopen just like the other pools which gone thru the same fates.
3 yrs only for rejuvenating where they modified or enhance features and of course the annoying reduction of the changing rooms to half or 1/3 it’s former glory sizes.
5-7 yrs to rebuild into integrated complex and gave them the opportunity to convert to feature pools whereby entry price increases. Forcing folks like us who just wanted a space to lap to pay for the extra we don’t really need.

Not sure east side pools but here, they seems to have made the lap lane marking almost permanent. So even in daytime where there are lots of students in different pockets of the pools, I am sure of a place to swim. Draw back is when the lap lanes are crowded with both fast and slow swimmers. So overtaking may be a pain especially when the fast swimmer and slow swimmer are side-by-side. Also cannot assume how each will behave. I had on occasions observed slow swimmer who take a short break at every end of laps. Assuming they would after following behind for a while, decided to turn behind them only to find them turning instead of resting and kicked them real hard. Lesson learned so now I don’t assume and always make sure the person ahead really would be resting before I make a u-turn behind them.
