sum1outhere_03
To me this was pretty surprising as Japan is pretty conservative country. What you guys think? Genitif 1 Quote Will you be my valentine's?
Guest Osada San
It is still not common in our culture having same sex marriage. It is a taboo.
Guest Very obedient
Japan was far more advanced in term of acceptance after WWII. It is the very first Asian countries (next to korea) to embrace westernisation. They will do everything the West wanted them to do or face consequences. Steve5380
Homosexuality is traditionally legal in Japan. They have yearly Pride parades like this one last year: Hopefully Singapore follows the example of Japan and slowly... slowly keeps progressing towards equality. There are not yet Pride parades in Singapore, but there is at least the Pink Dot event at Hong Lim park every year. Maybe... one day they will allow foreign visitors to participate in it... Looking at the Japanese pride video, I think Pinkdot has much larger scale. In fact, I am surprised why Japanese gay pride is so small as compared to those of Taiwan.
