I think it is very individual. Cause friends got recommend me other drama like go ahead, monster wuxin, nirvana and joy of life but dont know why no interest to watch. From boylove novel. it is OK, even though many BL fans seem to rave about it. ( maybe young girls) it is definitely not about "solving mystery" i did read the novel prior to watching, and the novel is much much better. but is OK to pass the time. it is not nauseating or too draggy. basically the story of a misunderstood guy who attained expertise in "dark magic", and his friend/lover who is from the most upright sect. have to overcome blame, accusations, trials.... Got watch a similar one to this "i will find you a better home" drama, is called all is well. Dont know why I like this kind of genre drama. My sis recommend me go ahead. Kinda like how it reflects the reality in our life these days that I can mostly resonate with.
