Guest G A P
Hey. I have gap teeth, but not a serious one, so I am thinking to get clear aligners to fix it. Any experience users here? Can recommend the brand? 'Tsank' you (see I need a correction for the gap)
Guest Invisalign
Invisalign. Go to orthodontist. Not dentist. Invisalign have different packages. Easier treatment is less trays and cheaper. Some package are typically 7k etc those are unlimited refinements. Meaning you have to wear like 1 to 2 years and keep having free refinements until the teeth is aligned to a certain degree. But one thing they never tell you is this.... YOU HAVE TO WEAR YOUR RETAINER FOR LIFE. Yes. For life. Retainer. At night. The same logic where you can move your teeth... It will move back if you don't wear retainer. Alot of people with braces when young don't wear their retainer and their teeth get messed up after awhile and they come back to invisalign. Why is this important? Cause my colleague see my teeth getting straighter he want to try also. But I told hi need to wear a retainer for life. He change his mind and accept his natural gap. Not worth to fix a small gap... But if you never been able to smile properly. Or ashamed of your teeth. Invisalign is the best thing that happen to you and you'll wonder why you never started earlier. But if after the treatment and not much difference unless it's perfect straight teeth vs natural. Not worth it. Retainer for life. Thinks. Retainer breaks. So you have to keep buying retainer for life. They don't emphases this enough!!! Its like wearing spectacle. If you can't see don't ever get a pair Os spec. Cause once you wear spectacles, it's for life.... And your vision will only get worst. Guest G A P
Thanks for your reply Mr Invisalign & good advice. I didn't expect it to be so much. Saw the ads, thought it is like around 3k. I will go and ask around. Any recommended orthodontist? Yes, I know the need for retainer, the same for those wearing bracelets. My friend has the same problem - skip wearing retainer quite often, now the retainer doesn't fit anymore. The teeth are not so straight now (according to him), but I still find them rather neat. Guest User
Zenyum fixes very minor teeth misalignment issues and is not suitable if your teeth are very crooked. The price is a lot cheaper, because of the expertise of the personnel involved. You will go to a dentist and the staff, hygienist etc will help you do a scan and send the information to be reviewed by specialist, I believe should be orthodontist? If found to be suitable, they will get the alingers ready. Duration depends on how much needs to be fixed. You will also make appointment with orthodontist who might create gaps between your teeth to allow the movement. I went through the process without anyone noticing ha ha. Throughout the treatment, there were times when the alingers didnt fit and it caused me great panic. I wore them diligently but I think it varies across individuals. At first, you might also get blisters from wearing the slingers as the edges can be a little sharp. I feel that the quality of the slingers could have been improved. And there were instances of the alingers cracking. Generally, they replaced them quite fast and you just have to wear the next if it can fit or wait. Expect drooling initially too. as for talking etc, no issues. After the treatment, they suggested going for some enhanced thing, but I had enough of brushing my teeth EVERYWHERE after meals and rejected their proposal. Neat enough, I don’t need my teeth to be perfect. Retainer...as mentioned, will be for life. But after a year can wear on alternate days. Lite I believe is below 20 trays or something. 15 or something... Mine was the full 7k. I had 35 trays last year but the teeth not perfect enough so now refinement another 50 trays. Technically can keep refining until its good enough for the orthodontics. Free of charge. Lite 3k if your teeth not up to your liking, the orthodontics will stop treatment cause no option to refine... You have to pay again for the rescan and whole set of trays. I think orthodontics don't tell us the package difference cause they evaluate your teeth condition. If you don't need so many trays. No point going for full package. You can check out invisalign reddit and see.

And im still diligently wearing it after removing my braces for 5 years You're right, it breaks easily. But if it matters to you, youll take care of it. Id say normal braces is good enough. Its not that bad.
cxxkiebutter
I would recommend Invisalign too, though it's much more expensive than other brands like SmileDirectClub and Candid. Apparently, the reason why Invisalign is more expensive than these other brands is because of the R&D involved and the branding. Also, =Invisalign is physically monitored by a dentist (though remote monitoring is an option as well), according to this article on the different brands of clear aligners. Invisalign is the most renowned brand of clear aligner so based on the brand reputation itself, I would be more likely to go for this over other brands haha. Guest 101
Any recommendation where to get invisalign? Also, after the treatment, can I wear the retainer during day time, but not at night when I am sleeping? It should be alright, right?
