Thanks for directing us to those videos. I really think their teachings are strange too, not just overly conservative, but very strict and overbearing too. That's why Mormons seem otherworldy and fascinating to us. They seem like diametrical opposites of what we believe about our selves and bodies. Opposites attract? Mormons are humans too. Even as an agnostic I can understand religious belief.  But I cannot understand how someone can believe in Mormonism.  Its recent history has nothing that indicates any component of holiness.   Polygamy because the prophet Smith liked polygamy.  And today, their secrecy and lack of any transparency at their highest ranks does not give an idea of something inspired by a God.

 

But many Mormons are good people,  and I can only explain this by the strength of a tradition.

There may be many definitions of "most developed country in the world",  but America does not fit in any of them.  Usually the Scandinavian countries are considered the most developed.   America is the most powerful,  but with big problems with its society.   It is true that in Utah so many people are naïve and brain washed to believe in such an artificial religion.  Even worse, there are so many American conservatives who believe in Donald Trump!  

 

David Archuleta has a nice voice and kind appearance.  His indoctrination and brain washing is a common result from his upbringing and family.  Fortunately, there are worse things to be than a Mormon.

Their beliefs are very similar to Islamism. Mormonism accepted polygamy (in the past).
