dilbert0987
I agree that guys tend to look better with some tan. Of course, UV rays are harmful, so try to protect yourself with sunscreen or stay out of the sun where possible. 😃 renoma1069

Rice60640
一白遮三丑 I prefer pale to tanned. Are there no spray tan places in Singapore? Or is spray tanning even more damaging?
b_rabbit99
hmmm, despite all the talk about how tanning is bad for skin, i still usually like a light tan because my natural skin colour is quite white.. I still prefer a bit more man look, which I can obtain with a tan... indoor tanning is healthier than outdoor tanning bec the machine does not emit UVC rays which is the one that is bad for skin.. If anyone wanna share indoor tanning package at Sun Tanning Studio (at The Central Clarke Quay), do DM me or ping me on Tele @b_rabbit99. They allow friends to share package, and it's cheaper than to take ala carte session, and dun need as much commitment as one whole package... Especially good for those who want a one-off tan for stuff like competition or photo taking..

UVA and UVB are damaging to the skin, each in different ways: https://www.skincancer.org/risk-factors/uv-radiation/ you are not in danger from UVC rays outdoors but you can be exposed to it in indoor tanning on older equipment: https://www.stouchlighting.com/blog/uva-uvb-uvc-differences tan if you want but indoor is not healthier than outdoor and neither are good for your skin: https://www.aad.org/public/diseases/skin-cancer/surprising-facts-about-indoor-tanning

Guest Guest
I suppose those who do tanning are mostly boomers. The new generation all wanted fair smooth skin and they do really take care of it by avoiding the sun, applying sun block, body lotion, etc.
radiusulnar
Somehow a tan gives a healthy vibe. So maybe that's why it's desirable yejj0192, Mister M, mate69 and 1 other
repressednerd
I like the glow after a nice tan. Sometimes I envy those who have tanned skin but the texture still looks perfect. (Some tanned men have obvious skin damage) mate69
Guest Sports
When I was young, I was influenced by jap gay porn. All the model have that swim wear tan line. Nowadays I seldom see the tan line and as a result I also kinda stopped. I find white / pale like ang moh more sexy now. And also if you look at those Chinese construction worker tan until become dark uncle.. Its really not attractive. Also it's the idea that if you are tan, you are outdoorsy, sporty, fit. Instead of staying home, no sun light, eat, sleep, bui bui
doncoin
I think when you live in a place with seasons, you do appreciate the summer sun more and being out on the beach or pool and getting a tan to capture that summer glow. During the winter months when days are short and it is cold out, you can't really step out in a swimsuit and lay there to tan. Just be sensible about your sun exposure, wear sunscreen/block and a hat or cap. A little vitamin D is a great mood elevator. Quote Love.

If you know what I mean 😉 a great mood elevator as well. 😘 mate69 and doncoin 1
Guest guest
When I relocated to Japan for a work stint, I missed the summer sun for tanning, and realised I got fair really quickly once the summer was over. So I bought one of those dubious spray tans to keep my skin 'tanned' but it faded really quickly. (Faded within a week of using compared to actual tropical tanning which lasted up to 3 weeks for me) The spray tan effect is really nice, but quite tough to use since it can create patches if you don't spray properly. I had a little better luck with spray tan than you. Mine lasted about 3 weeks plus. So it is a process. First, they exfoliate every inch of my body. they encouraged me to get waxed a couple of days before which I did. Once I was freshly scrubbed and dry, I was given a disposable thong, and a guy came and sprayed the base layer. After it is done, you stand there for like 15-20 minutes to let it semi-dry, then they take this mitt sponge thing to rub you to make sure it is evenly spread and absorbed. Then you stay there again for like another 10-15 minutes for it to dry. The guy comes in again and starts doing contouring, i.e. he sprays the tan to highlight the abs, pecs, etc. which I thought was interesting. Then another 10-15 minutes to dry. When done, I looked like a really bodybuilder with the dark fake tan, after which, you go into a shower. After the shower, I think about half the colour washed off, and I ended up looking with a more natural-looking tan. The entire session took me about 90 minutes. Word of advice is for the first few days avoid white clothing and bed sheets and moisturize plenty to maintain the colour. It's not something I will do again as it is time-consuming and the fake tan spray does smell a little funky to me, and the scent does linger for a few days. Sexythonger
I like to see men with tanline. Bonus for thong tanline. Very sexy. So whenever i go to pool or beach i will wear my thong so that i can show others my tanline when i go to sauna/jacuzzi. bluerunner

When I went to Korea and China (Beijing and Shanghai) for work, i noticed majority of the new generation men there have snow white skin. I visited their bathhouse and gym and saw non with tanned skin. I stay near NUS and the condos around my area rented to alot of China students. I noticed those China guys really take care of their skin because they carry an umbrella under the sun. 10yrs back if a guy carry an umbrella, people will laugh because only girls do that. But i see new generation guys carrying an umbrella under the sun these days are normal. I saw a documentary on CNA about the blooming business of skin whitening in the Philippines and Thailand. Seems that the new generation all wanted skin like those Korean pop stars.
Guest How
So last December I volunteer and went to do some beach clean up. Wore a singlet. Got a nice tan and a very ugly tan line. Its almost 1 month and the ugly tan line still there. It's like I'm wearing a singlet like that.. How to get rid of the ugly tan line without going for full topless tan? How many more months before my skin rejuvenates itself?
