I didn't find him attractive, but he had the best physique.  But there's no denying that he (and Jane Seymour) was superb in 'Somewhere in Time'.  This is probably my favorite love story ever.  Seeing him in that throwback clothing (at the 4:46 mark was mind-blowing), and who can forget the haunting soundtrack.

I doubt if the comment about the UK is correct. The law in the UK makes it far easier to win a libel case. The law in the USA makes it much, much more difficult.

 

As for the earlier poster, it was not Johnny Depp who has to pay Amber Heard $2 million. The jury found that it was one of Depp's lawyers had libelled Heard. As I understand it, tax payers do not pay for any libel damages, Each individual in the case has to pay for the awards. I expect also that one or both will have to pay for the cost of the actual trial.
