I very much enjoyed the attention to detail when adjusting various parts of the body and stretching or massaging based on what’s needed. Since Derek is in town, I decided to give him a try, booked for a 1.5 hours massage. As my back was pretty hard, I asked if he could also help to put some strength during the massage, which he gladly accommodated to my request. Derek has a place at Bukit Timah area, hence travelling was not an issue for me. It does not has a luxurious spa feel but good enough for a massage, with a sturdy massage bed. He lives with himself so you can be assured of total privacy. I was able to take a quick shower before I start the massage. The good point of his humble flat is that the shower/toilet was attached to his massage room as well. Oh before I forgot to mention, he will text to ask if I have any physical condition that he needs to take care of, so I mentioned I had a hunched back and he was professional to help work on the knots and relief the pains on the areas I have problems with. The best part I like about the massage is the head massage cos most of my therapist don't really work a lot on the head, so I find it relaxing after he massaged my head. Derek is also a friendly therapist, he not too chatty and has a positive vibe, which I find will make me feel at ease during the massage therapy. My only feedback for Derek is if he could put some soft spa music in the room, it'll be perfect. Other than that, everything is good. Try to exfoliate your body at least once every 10 days If you have sensitive skin, one to two times a week is a better frequency. Let me start by saying - the entire session was an absolute bliss! Derek is a skilled masseur with magic hands. He focusses on technique and soothes the body as he works his way with his strokes. He is able to adjust according to your needs and makes you feel relaxed. I loved his expert massage style which makes any discomfort in body vanish away. He is a true magician I must say ! He is a fine looking person, and have this nice vibe - hard to describe but you will know it if you experience it yourself. Overall, really enjoyed the massage as he uses a good mix of soft strokes and also hard kneads targeting those more affected areas or tight knots. My muscles and sore spots did felt much better after the session too. Not to mentioned, I felt quite relaxed that I dozed off right after I reached home. Do look forward for another session! Must mention his massage is really good, combination of treatment as he noticed I’ve a hunch. Also I sprained my lower bk 2 wks ago. Though the pressing n kneading abit painful but it helps. He really helps to stretch your body and free all those aches and pains! By the end of the deep tissue massage I was in bliss and a lot of the accumulated tension and pain had vanished! Met him with sore and stiff muscles but left the session relaxed and freshened. Felt the tightness of muscle gone. He took time to understand my needs and worked on it. When he replied, “Let me take good care of you”, I was like “Whoa… let’s see if he can deliver this promise…” If you prefer medium to strong pressure, then Derek fits the bill. He started the massage with shiatsu (dry), then deep tissue and sensual (oil). His strokes are smooth and go deep into the knots, and mind you, the pressure is strong (similar to Kevin @ TPY and Soulzz @ SK). There were times I winced and squirmed a little, but it’s a mix of pain and pleasure. Towards the end, during the head massage, he told me something which was eerily accurate (he specialises in energy healing by reading people’s energy). True to his word, I was taken very good care of by Derek. Don’t let his tattoos intimidate you; he’s a nice guy. 😉 Catch him the next time he’s in Singapore. He uses his own hotel room to sreve you so there is 100% privacy. As above mentioned, you will feel calm and yet greeted with a warm smile. I tried both tantric and deep tissue before, the strength provided by Derek can be confirmed by what you requested. Did I mention, the massage oil he uses really puts you into relaxing mode during the whole course of massage and you won't wish the massage to end when it's time. Also, Derek is not particular about overtime, and once the session ends, your whole body will definitely feel stress-free. Music is also available throughout. The entire session is not only blissful, it also left me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, both physically and mentally. It started with a hard massage (feel like sport massage) and he skillfully untied my painful knot without me knowing it. And followed by Japanese style massage which was rather intense (in a good way) and brought me to ecstasy. Best part is that he never rush the session and at times when I thought it should be finishing soon, the session continue for another good few mins, ensuring every part of your body is taken care of. Such dedication is quite exceptional and makes customer like us feeling special. He is also very accommodating, asking what you hope to achieve at the end of your massage and which area needs more focus. The massage is also very good, with the right pressure for the right areas. I felt very relaxed and fresh at the end of the massage and will definitely recommend him and try him out again when our schedules can match. Final verdict: Great and worth the time and money!
