it is surprisingly quiet during sat nite... they even closed the part of the level 2 section.. thought sat nite should be crowded

the 'bare' back night is just lousy... no one actually use the 'cloth' that they issued at the counter... how come no more underwear nites

Hey I was there too !!! Based on my time there, this is what I observed :

The place was kind of deserted for a Friday night - which could either be good or bad depending on how you choose to look at it. Good in a sense that you can zoom in on your target(s) within minutes and hopefully score. Bad in a way that most probably your target might also be sought after by your competitors. Unless you guys settled for a 3some which would be a win-win-win situation for all.

Personally I find the place a bit too dark. But then again this IS a sauna. Plus like they say, sex lurks in dark places. The darker the place, the more conducive and the bolder the gropings, the suckings, the lickings ad the fuckings get. Loud moanings and screams could be clearly heard across rooms. I even witnessed a few group play here and there.

But one thing I must say : The staff did not do a good job in enforcing the nude night theme. I could see one or two guys clad in towels walking about on the second floor yet nobody seemed to mind. Defeats the whole nude theme purpose.

But on the whole : A very good place for a relaxing good time.

went to 17 last friday. There were about 20 people walking about the maze area upstairs. About 10 rooms occupied. and about 5 guys downstairs tv lunge. did not go into sauna, so dont know the numbers there. The place is not as dirty as some has described here. in fact it is quite well maintained. I would like to relax in the big tv lounge but it is too bright for my comfort. Quite a number of muscle hunks there. yummy.

I was there on 11th sept after six pm, these is my second time going 17after many years

Saw a must ouch guy sitting there for cheating withdrew, I like this guy much, since this is my second time, did not approach him, after that say him went to the bath room at first flow next to the sauna room washing his weapon

His one is long , I like it very much

Hope next time I go one seven can see him again and able to shave a good session with him

Can some one tell me who is this guy is. He is not Chinese or Malay

Not worth overnight....very noisy in the dark room (Hit Music - super loud)...and the crowd come and go. Hard to relax in the dark room.

Have not been to One Seven for very long time, was there just now, the crowd was thin with few caucasians.  Have fun with a Japanese. 

 

One Seven used to be #2 sauna in Sg after TC.  The sauna is huge but not as run down as some described.  In the hey days, it can easily command a big pool of customers.  It's sad to see it turn out this way.  Hope the management can do something to pull back its customers.

A naked businessman found hanging at an all-male spa could have died as the result of a sex game that went wrong, a court heard yesterday.

Mr Yeo Hung Song may have been practising auto-erotic asphyxiation, which involves starving the brain of oxygen to increase sexual arousal.

But State Coroner Imran Abdul Hamid said that suicide was also a possibility. He added that the 48-year-old restaurant boss, who was not married, suffered from depression and was believed to have harboured suicidal tendencies.

Mr Yeo was found dead in a cubicle at Club One Seven Spa & Gym - which is strictly for men only and has membership cards that list no names but only numbers. The court heard that he arrived on a motorbike at about 2pm on Nov 19 last year.

I went there on Oct 31, supposedly a "Halloween Night" at around 9pm.  The front desk guy honestly told me that there are only 8 to 10 guys inside. I still went on. It was my first time and I was curious.  Unfortunately, some of these 10 guys were already changing and getting ready to leave at the locker room when I went in.  So, i assumed that there will be around 6 to 8 of us inside.  True enough, with this small number, the place looked so eerily huge.  I already accepted the fact that i won't have good time inside.  Also felt something scary while exploring the rooms… (didn't know that someone died there already).  Anyway, as i was about to leave, i noticed this hot, muscled guy go out from a room… and i followed him at the shower area. Had a quick fun with him … thankfully!

Went to Club Seven One on a Saturday. The crowd was small (about 10) and on the old, decrepit side (I got felt up and practically harrassed at the lockers and was too surprised to react accordingly, but a nice employee jumped to my rescue and kudos to him for that). Luckily I met someone with a nice personality and still did have a good time. Will be going on a Friday night next time. I don't look forward to being the only young meat on site again. Was pleasantly surprised by the service after all the complaints here, and entry was only under two dollars for my age, if my unfortunatley bad memory isn't playing tricks on me.

Was at 1-7 this afternoon. Upon entering, Sam the white owner said the club will be undergoing renovation (finally!!) this coming Wed. Slated to complete around 2 weeks' time, but he is giving a realistic period of 4 weeks, in time for year end holiday period.

The club will still be open during the renovation. The renovation will take place in sections. He did say the entry fee will be reduced (did not say how much) during the renovation period.

By the way, this afternoon is quiet in comparison with other saunas. About 3 to 4 middle aged white guys, plus the usual members (less than 20 in all?). I left before 4pm.

Whether died on 2nd floor or 1st floor, reno does not make any diff.

I believe downsizing is the word. It is back to 12 yrs ago and it would no longer be the biggest 'spa' in Spore.

But it is a good move to ensure its survival and competitiveness in the local market.

 

I remember there's also other deaths in saunas in other regional countries:

Bangkok - Oberlisk (closed down when owner's biz got affected, got to sell off the 4 rows of condo)

Taipei - Huang Gong, Office.

Sometimes, ignorance is bliss. But once it is known, ppl, whether superstitious or not, would stop going, just in case.

 

Unless they set up some kind of a altar to appease the one who just died and 'those who died before him'.

it shrinks to only 1 level.....the tv lounge is reduced to 1/4 of its size, the rest of it and the old gym area are now where the rooms are...

1/3 of the cafe area becomes the new gym area and i find it very cramp...

not sure if they will still operate the cafe.

no change to the ground floor shower area and steam room (this is the only consolation) but the shower area is dumped with a lot of items.. the washing basin is not repaired, the mouthwash is not refilled...

the old gym lockers are now shifted out and placed at the old locker area..

i must say i am quite disappointed with the downsize.. and it is not really 'renovation' as i did not see any new items or furniture

not sure if there will be any other additional setting...

 

personal opinion - it definitely doesn't worth > $20 to enter. Shogun is charging only 12 and CC even gives free entries despite the size and facilities it has..

 

i will definitely miss the old 17 :(
