I suspect the reason why Mediacorp doesn't want to promote him right now is cos he hasn't finished his studies and has yet to do NS, so he won't be able to act full-time for the next few years. Imo, he cant speak well, not even his mandarin, dont even mention his english. He has no looks, only good for ah beng roles. Doubt he can go far. I actually think Ian Fang is the most eloquent of the lot and the one with the most potential to go into hosting. If judging by ability to speak well, then Desmond shouldn't be in (his Mandarin still 一块块) and certainly not Edwin. I personally find none of them can make it big, maybe just another passing cloud, like last time the 7 princess. I can't imagine any of them as the next generation Ah Ge. I find Zhang Zhenhuan's features more "delicate", attractive in a contrasting way to, say, Desmond Tan with his more dark, chiselled looks. I think ZZH can probably find a niche playing 斯文败类 type of characters, but I agree he won't make it big. Overall, I find him attractive and he speaks quite well.His current hairstyle in the football drama makes him look quite ordinary. And he was wearing a really ugly colourful striped shirt in one of the scenes.James Seah has the x-factor that draws attention, but I don't think he can make it on Channel 8 unless he goes for intensive Mandarin lessons for a couple of years. Remember what a "baddie" role did for Michelle Yim in that Moonlight Serenada/that mooncake serial? That is what a veteran should be.. always inventing and finding newer challenges ... Lisa Wang and Michelle Yim tried their hands in stage shows and even, Cantonese opera. Of course, they were properly trained during their Shaw Brothers and TVB/Rediffusion times. However at the rate of churning drama serials at Mediacrap, I believe this is one of the most remote wishing thinking of mine. The old hag cannot even match the acting chops of her peers.. Aileen got better roles and can switch between Channel 5 and 8... Even Pan Ling Ling is seen doing Mata-mata...
