The plots are often full of loopholes, over-used ideas or plain stupid. The characters are so one-dimensional. The current running supposedly "big production" - The Journey: Turbulent Times is an excellent example. Overall it was typically a Dick Lee show...isnt aloysious pang local? i always though he is one i was very upset watching the countdown program 1. i remembered ian fang in one of the npd messages ad on ch 8, his fav ndp song is home and he would wave the flag and sing it but on yesterday's program, while kit chan was singing, some of the 8 dukes like desmond are singing but ian fang wasnt singing at all. it was all a joke cos when the ndp msg came out, im like what is this shanghai talking about and yesterday's show proof's that the npd message was probably just made up by the producers and he is just acting it out 2. usually the performance right after midnight should be the highlight of the entire show and i was anticipating if stefanie sun will continue singing or it will big bang's turn. however was disappointed by some unknown random performances which is just noise to me, luckily siti nurhaliza came to save the day, i had heard alot about her as malaysia's top singer and yesterday i finally understand why with her stage presence 3. i don know what kind of director and cameraman mediacorp hires, they never focus on the member's face when big bang was introducing themselves 1 by 1, they can air scene shooting the floor and they cant even capture taeyang dancing properly. they either do it too close or too far, can they just do it properly and not ruin the performance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

With the actors' delivery really made the whole show look even more like an amatuerish kindergarten school play production. I have a sneaky suspicion the latter even have better production values than mediacorp. Just watch aunty lucy reciting his lines. Looks so 'forced'. I know the lines are all badly written: forced, cliche, unimaginative, inconsequential, long winded, repetitive, drab and dreary but at least deliver them more naturally with better timing, rhythm, conviction and panache? Having been to their concert in Korea where the energy was so high. They did not even bother to dress up in their usual great style. Being a Big Bang fan, I rather watch one of their concert DVDs again... more exciting!I have a feeling they did not want to show up the below standard performances of some of the artistes.And the staging and the lighting of the whole show was a big joke. And of cos they will over-compensate for this ultra conservatism in views of the female gender with gender blurring flamboyance in the male fashion expression, ultra sleek fashion stylings and dance moves. But underneath all that fake american accented English somehow lurks an uncomfortable throwback to north korean communist conformist regimental ethos in bandwagon-ist type of efferverscent exuberant self expression. 100 points for fashion and consumerism.
