Newcomers winning professional awards has rarely happened in Star Awards history. Only Fann Wong (3 major awards in 1995), Christopher Lee (entered showbiz in 1995, won best actor in 1997) and Tay Ping Hui (best supporting actor in 1999) come to mind. So rushed, speeches cut off, and the stage design in addition to being dangerous looked cramped compared to Show 1 which was held in the same location. Every year she will squeeze into the Top 10 without fail despite not being in any of the previously released voting updates. The Top 10 felt more reflective of the truth back when the survey accounted for 50% of the results. The survey would have been adjusted to be representative of audience demographics whereas now the introduction of online voting advantages the younger artistes. Expected but still unsatisfying to watch. due to recent retrench so cut cost, no manpower, no budget and lack of timing...I really worry for them to fall...no joke falling infront of national tv programme beside injury - those back stage designer dun deserve any recognition.the programme always cut off other speeches ..is damn bloody rude, even this year the compere won't say anything like cut it short, really the programmer of this show do not deserve any reward nomination for the next year.on the whole, a lousy show, scary show for each artistes of their safety, and lousy segment...the worst show for the last show in cadecott.
