SHARE TWEET Following in the footsteps of Jeanette Aw, Julie Tan, Andie Chen and Kate Pang, Ch 8 actress Sora Ma announced on Instagram on the last day of 2017 that she, too, has decided not to renew her contract with Mediacorp. Speaking to us over the phone, the 33-year-old actress says that the decision to leave the company has been on her mind for one to two years. “I only made up my mind in November when I knew that my contract was coming to an end. I wanted to use this chance to step out of my comfort zone and do my own things,” she says. The 33-year-old actress entered showbiz in 2010, after making her way to the top five in Star Search that year, alongside Jeffrey Xu, who'd won the competition, and Romeo Tan, who'd placed fourth. In the past seven years, Sora has played mainly supporting roles in Ch 8 shows, with one of her most memorable roles being Chen Meizhen, the wife of Wang Shunfeng (Dennis Chew) in the hit long-running drama 118. “I didn’t tell any of my friends or ask anyone for advice because I didn’t want them to talk me out of it. For the past three decades, I’ve been listening to my mum, my seniors at work, or anyone with more life experience than me. I’ve been a good girl for way too long. It’s time I be a little rebellious," she says. 8 DAYS: Leaving Mediacorp must have been a difficult decision for you to make, given that you were with the company for seven years. SORA MA: Yes, it wasn’t easy at all. Even until now, I don’t know if I’ve made the right decision. When I was with Mediacorp, my manager arranged and fixed my schedule for me. I was very pampered with lots of work coming in. Now, I no longer have a stable income, and that pushes me to do something more for myself. If I don’t place myself in such a position, I won’t be hungry to learn and achieve more. What’s next for you? I’m in the midst of setting up my own production company. I will have a team of people to write scripts, direct films and work on pre- and post-production together. I’ve been taking script writing and directing classes on the side, and it’s time I put what I’ve learnt into use. We have been working on the scripts for two short films, and production will start once we are ready. I will act in the films ‘cos I’m the cheapest labour I can find for my own company. I don’t have to pay myself for now! (Laughs) How did you come to this decision? The way people consume media these days is very different, especially with the popularity of new media. I look at my younger cousins and niece, and I notice that the things they watch and like are very different from our generation. With the media landscape changing, local actors and actresses are faced with new challenges. All these observations made me feel that I should stop what I’ve been doing and take on a new direction. I don’t want to look back on my life after five years and realise that I am still doing the same thing. I guess I don’t want to remain stagnant. fab Posted January 8, 2018 Report Share Posted January 8, 2018 http://chuansong.me/n/1464487152590 小时候曾经纳闷，翩翩佳公子的花无缺为什么还会出现在《人在旅途》里。其实他本来就是新加坡人，原名吴槐岸，曾有“新加坡第一帅哥”的称号，到港发展后改名吴岱融。 《人在旅途》拍摄于1985年，是吴岱融在新加坡发展的代表作，他饰演男主角杜嘉南，和向云饰演的女主本来两情相悦，可惜有缘无分，后来和陈莉萍饰演的何晓恬订婚。 男女主角相爱却没有在一起，在当时的我们看来都觉得无比遗憾，现在才能理解它的现实性，有时候错过了就是错过了。 我还看过吴岱融1984年的电视剧《怒海萍踪》，讲述戊戌变法失败后，一群正义之士保护康有为的故事。神奇的是我居然还会唱它的主题曲： 闯江湖半生醉，洒热血不掉泪， 寻知心共举杯，生尽欢死当睡 怒海茫茫，萍踪何处去。 走遍天涯，也要把你追…… 据说，这是新加坡第一部武侠剧。 吴岱融去香港发展后，起初在TVB很受力捧，凭借《绝代双骄》《边城浪子》《玉面飞狐》《剑魔独孤求败》成为当家小生。 其中，我最喜欢的还要数玉面飞狐卓不凡。 90年代初，吴岱融因私自在亚视宣传个人唱片专辑，遭到无线雪藏、不久又解约。 此后淡出香港电视圈，期间曾接拍三级片，并娶妻生子，太太为合作三级片的女艺人钟淑慧。 近年吴岱融活跃于中国大陆，拍摄一系列电视剧。除拍剧外，还任职大陆私人企业顾问。 陈之财 在我的记忆里，他总是以正直醇厚的形象出现，特别是双男主的剧集里，他总是被朋友出卖伤害、和心上人的感情一路虐到底的那个。 比如在《浮沉》这部经典大剧里，陈之财和沈金兴是从小一起长大的好友，长大后沈金兴和他妹妹陈丽贞是一对，他也有了富家女友陈秀环。陈秀环出国读书，他拜托也在当地留学的沈金兴照顾，不料俩人竟然日久生情。虽然陈秀环出于自责还是嫁给了陈之财，婚后情难自禁又和沈金兴偷情，给他戴了绿帽子。。。 顺便说，《浮沉》主题曲是徐小凤的《不夜城传奇》，好好听哦。 大地不曾沉睡过去 仿似不夜城 这里灯火通明 是谁开始第一声招呼 打破了午夜的沉寂 空中弥漫着的海的气息 叫卖的呐喊 响着生活的回音 天地忙忙碌碌的脚印 写的是谁人一生的传奇 传奇将改变命运 要在茫茫人海中掀起风云 有谁明白高飞的心 狂笑声中依稀见旧影 莫问得失有几许 人在高处就会不胜寒意 不再拥有真爱共鸣 是否人到此处已无情 《出人头地》里，他和郑惠玉两情相悦，因自卑不敢大胆争爱，将她拱手让给了自私反派李南星。虽然和深爱自己的陈丽贞结婚生子，始终留有遗憾。 《烈焰焚情》想必也是很多人喜爱的新加坡电视剧。陈之财饰演的明亮就更悲催了，自小父母被人害死，长大后当了消防员，和陈莉萍饰演的沈菲深深相爱，对方却被表哥强暴，后来又潜水窒息成为了植物人。。。 赫赫，新加坡电视剧多年来一直热爱撒狗血！ 陈之财出生于1966年，祖籍福建，本来是飞行员，走上荧屏纯属偶然。当初新加坡广播电视局招考演员，他在4000余名应征者中幸运地闯入前10名，被正式录取。 他的妻子就是《人在旅途》女主角向云，郑惠玉之前的新加坡一姐，两人育有一子一女。 向云给人的形象一直是贤慧、朴素的传统女性，在陈之财刚出道的时候就已是大明星，1989年他俩因合演《铁警雄风》剧集而相恋，并在1个半月后闪电结婚，这个消息在新加坡演艺圈曾起了一阵骚动。 当时大家都觉得陈之财有“吃软饭”之嫌，不过后来他也够争气，挑大梁主演了多部电视剧，证明了自己的实力。除此之外，他还是一位受欢迎的主持人、歌手，不可多得的全能型艺人。 沈金兴 生于1963年，经历丰富，17岁便开始踏足社会当建筑工人，后来又学室内设计、脚底按摩。 1986年的一天，沈金兴做足部健身的一个病人看到新加坡广播局招收艺员的消息，觉得沈金兴的仪表出众，便自作主张地为他报了名，待拿到考试通知，沈金兴只好赶鸭子上架，竟然脱颖而出，成为被录取的五位幸运儿之一。 我看过的作品里，他在《三面夏娃》《浮沉》里演的都是渣男，前面的对郑惠玉始乱终弃，后面的不但勾引好友陈之财老婆陈秀环，还把青梅竹马的女朋友陈丽贞灌醉，害其被陈秀环的富豪父亲迷奸，令人发指。。。 1992年的《爱在女儿乡》是一部轻喜剧，看着舒心多了。不过沈金兴在剧中饰演的汤不凡依旧是个花花公子，周旋于陈莉萍饰演的白卓尔以及陈丽贞饰演的夏霓之间，最后夏霓退出，成全了卓尔不凡。本剧在云南实地取景拍摄，很有民族特色。 沈金兴和洪约翰、陈莉萍等主演的《轰天龙虎》我也看过，描述了40年代的上海警探云苍佑与亲生兄弟严文浩及童年玩伴沈占飞之间的恩恩怨怨。 陈莉萍在里面美翻了！！！ 90年代后期，沈金兴约满退出电视圈，继续推广“足部健身法”，而他开的卡拉OK酒廊及四间脚底按摩指压行生意兴隆，另外，他还在中国投资房地产，偶尔出来拍拍戏，比如2008年《小娘惹》、2009年《双子星》等等。 洪约翰 个人觉得特别可惜的一个演员！！！ 洪约翰生于香港。1989年毕业于新广第九期演员训练班。90年代初成为新加坡电视圈当红小生，代表作：《生命街车》、《金色珊顿道》、《霹雳红唇》、《轰天龙虎》，统统都看过。 最爱《霹雳红唇》里的痴情大反派戴天，霸道又温柔，超级迷人啊！ 有段时间，他和李南星、曹国辉、沈金兴并称新传媒四大天王。 1992年，洪约翰因被人陷害无奈辞职，离开新视。关于这件事我特地去查过，粉丝说他是违反了公司规定，带女友去宿舍住，又因跟别人女友开玩笑被诬陷非礼。 当然还有很多乱七八糟的传闻了，比如说他和女影迷上床，还有得罪高层什么的。有人的地方就有江湖和恩怨，新加坡地方虽小，小生之间互相倾轧还是很可怕的。 唉，可怜洪约翰的星路基本上就废了。 1993，他赴香港发展，签约亚视。可惜不受重视，曾经在《戏王之王》《枪神》里看他演戏份寥寥的小配角，感觉特别心酸。 此后，洪约翰淡出香港电视圈，不知所终。 陈泰鸣 人人都很挂念的大美女陈莉萍、的老公。 本是空少，因为被丰厚的奖品——一辆汽车所吸引，而参加第二届“才华横溢出新秀”大赛的角逐，得到季军加入新传媒。 我看他的第一部电视剧，就是在《金色珊顿道》里饰演大反派方舜华，女主就是陈莉萍饰演的童曦。童曦和方舜华是初恋，后来方为了利益和童曦分手，童曦又爱上了老好人钟元（洪约翰饰演）。 钟元就是那种特典型的正面男主角，非常有原则，方舜华则为了目的不择手段。造化弄人，童曦因父亲的反对被迫嫁给了方舜华。经历一番波折，方舜华因为杀人栽赃钟元，被担任律师的童曦识破，亲手把他送进监狱。童曦和他离婚，但生下了他的孩子，三年后才和钟元在教堂重逢。 陈泰鸣和陈莉萍因此剧结缘，和陈之财向云夫妇一样，当时也是女尊男卑。一个初出茅庐，一个已是新加坡家喻户晓的玉女明星，因为祖籍同是潮州，陈泰鸣抓住这点主动和她搭讪，这才入了美人的法眼。 陈泰鸣外形挺英俊的，和陈莉萍也算般配，但事业上始终稍逊一筹。他虽然也演了《霹雳红唇》《鹤啸九天》《昆仑奴》《银海惊涛》等作品，一直都不算大红大紫。 陈莉萍和陈泰鸣拍拖八年，期间陈莉萍因为鼻子敏感去看医生，结果吃了很多激素，导致身材完全走形。从原本只是babyface的窈窕淑女变成一个肉嘟嘟的胖师奶。没想到她吃的减肥药有问题，由于是代言人还被告上了法庭……经历许多波折，俩人不离不弃，于1999年结婚，2002年诞下一子。 陈泰鸣的作品，还有《银海惊涛》值得一说，我虽然印象不太深了，但是他演的男一号邱文龙，同时也是该剧的最大反派，可谓坏到极致。 故事讲述几个年轻人歌坛发展的故事，邱文龙为了个人的利益恩将仇报，勾结黑帮，陷害女友，致残后仍不知悔改，伺机报复，最终落得众叛亲离、身败名裂、坠楼惨死的下场。 茫茫人海中 有谁能与我共渡晨昏 一次一次的聚散离分 那被爱的梦终难圆 错过年少无邪的笑容 真心知己难逢 主题歌很好听，还会唱呢。哈哈。这是新加坡另一位当红小生周初明演唱的，但他并没有参演这部剧，下面来说他。 周初明 这位呢，在我心中的地位曾经不亚于李南星。 李南星有新加坡周润发之称，周初明曾经被称作新加坡周星驰，因为他最初是以无厘头的喜剧形象走红的，哈哈。 小时候喜欢周初明倒不是因为他搞笑，而是觉得他又英俊又可爱，而且形象多变，可以乖乖仔可以憨厚也可以冷酷桀骜还可以搞笑鬼马。 周初明1990年作为《才华横溢出新秀》的冠军而出道，主演多部电视剧。在新传媒《红星大奖》1994年开始举办以来，他年年都获颁十大最受欢迎男艺人，人气惊人。周初明除了演戏之外，也是出色的主持人，还演唱了很多经典剧集的主题曲。 2004年，周初明连同郑惠玉、李南星三人各自获得首次开设的特别奖项“超级红星大奖”，其地位可见一斑。 我最初认识他好像是《荡寇英雄》，这部剧的男主是淳于珊珊，周初明是剧里的喜剧担当，挺出彩。搭档是李南星的前妻杨莉冰。 喜欢上他是因为《烈焰焚情》。虽然男主角是陈之财，但我对他的长相实在无感，周初明饰演的陈家齐才是亮点啊。 陈家齐本是富家子，突然被告知是被收养的，生父原来是牢犯。换了别人可能就躲之不及，但他还是依然寻找真相，不但不嫌弃父亲，还毫不犹豫地捐出自己的骨髓救了父亲一命。他后来又找到亲生母亲，没想到母亲是个老鸨，他帮她还债，冲进火海救她，她却诬陷他贿赂……可是他始终心底干净，从不埋怨，总是善良真诚对待身边的人。 这个角色的人设实在是太好，关键是，周初明还那么帅！ 周初明和郭淑贤合演的古装剧《昆仑奴》也让我印象深刻。昆仑奴取材自唐传奇又做了很大的改编，剧情讲述安史之乱的背景下，被奴役的昆仑族人摩勒流落中原，和史思明等人斗争的一系列故事。 当时因为《塞外奇侠》，也特别喜欢郭淑贤。 1995年，周初明出现在内地和香港合拍的回归献礼剧《花帜》里，让我很是意外。更雷的是这部剧里他居然和狄波拉饰演的女富豪大谈忘年恋，接受无力。。。 这些年都没看过新加坡剧，也就不怎么关注周初明了，没想到他戏路虽然顺畅，身体健康方面却出了问题。1997年7月1日，周初明在拍摄《不老传说》时受伤入院，被疼痛折磨，除了在中医、西医门下问诊外，甚至找过“神棍”，但腰部疼痛依旧久治不愈。 2008年末，周初明被诊断患上了脊髓性肌萎缩症，这是一种罕见的遗传疾病，四万人中只有一人患有此症，很可能导致从此无法行走，甚至危及生命。不过他很坚强，一直在和病魔做斗争。 周初明的妻子叫陈怡璇，两人热恋五年于2000年完婚，育有两女，生活幸福。 成建辉 也是我印象里的新加坡帅哥一枚，略有点苦情脸。其实细想来，看他的作品并不多，但有一两个代表作也就够了。 主要是喜欢他在《金色珊顿道》里演的童晖。 上面简单介绍过《金色珊顿道》的剧情，童晖是陈莉萍饰演的童曦的哥哥。这部剧里，童晖的感情故事才是最让人心塞的。 童晖作为富家子，一出场就是少年得志，精明能干，他和高明真本是商场上的对手，却产生了真爱，不折不扣的相爱相杀。俩人分手后又复合，在一艘游艇上谈婚论嫁，童晖发现高明真曾经偷窃童家的机密，导致童家生意受损，两人争执之间高明真被推倒在地，头部被刺入了玻璃碎片，当场死亡。 童晖误杀了心爱的女人，在监狱里吃尽苦头，出狱后他始终不能原谅自己，想要重新开始，于是在一个小卖部打工，和有孩子的老板娘产生了感情。不料这个女人却因为有把柄在方舜华手里，加上为了钱而背叛了童晖。 童晖得知后，在曾经误杀高明真的船上，绝望自杀了。 成建辉那时候稍显青涩，但他在剧里大起大落的命运，英俊又忧郁的面容打动了不少观众，包括我。 成建辉和陈莉萍还合作过《生活歌手》，饰演她的男朋友，一个很有才华的人。虽然剧中李南星对陈莉萍一往情深，但陈莉萍始终只爱这个男朋友，所以李南星无奈转去爱别人了。这部剧的感情故事非常明朗，整体都很阳光。 范文芳的成名作《缘尽今生》，男主也是成建辉。他演的是一个出身豪门，被陷害破产又重新振作的人，对范文芳有情有义，为了救她的孩子而死，角色也非常讨好。 淳于珊珊 记住他是因为他的名字，实在太有特色了。复姓本来就很特别，看名字以为是个妹子，结果却是个汉子。 淳于珊珊是中国大陆男演员，1967年11月25日出生于山东青岛，毕业于北京电影学院。1987年首次出演武侠片《黄河大侠》 ，不知道有多少人看过这部老片？ 1989年主演电影《百变神偷》，我是后来看的，发现是他主演还震惊了一下下。 1992年，淳于珊珊接受新加坡政府邀请，加盟新加坡电视台。1993年出演在新加坡的第一部电视剧《荡寇英雄》，后来作品不断，有段时间我老把他和洪约翰搞混，因为眼睛都很大。 《荡寇英雄》我真心不记得剧情了，只记得周初明和他唱的主题曲： 是否天上真的有双眼，为何只是冷眼看人间 苍天总爱戏弄人，任由世上有理无理的变 有多少人忙碌过一生，只是为了片刻的温存 苍天总爱戏弄人，从天降下太多的疑问 苍天总爱戏弄人，何时才等到知心人 为何该去的又回来， 该恨的又去爱 苍天总爱戏弄人，相爱总有一天离分 风花雪月都不去问，只求厮守一生 1997年的的《真命小和尚》，由童星曹骏饰演本是皇子的小和尚开心，播出后很受欢迎。淳于珊珊饰演保护开心的大侠云剑飞。 淳于珊珊2001年回到中国内地发展，拍摄了不少电视剧，《神医大道公》《五号特工组》《老马家的幸福往事》《平原烽火》《神探包青天》……古装、抗战、谍战、家庭题材都有，战争类的比较多，属于实力派硬汉的范畴。 2001年，淳于珊珊和比他小4岁的吴楚君结婚，两人育有三个孩子。 曹国辉 1989年考入新加坡广播局艺员训练班，正式进入演艺界。新传媒四大天王之一。 我对他是脸熟，作品不是很熟，简单提提。 有点印象的作品只有《勇者无惧》了。剧中，他饰演的林永杰是新加坡南山武馆的大弟子，多次在比武中获取金牌，连登武术冠军宝座，生性勇敢，身上有一种永不服输的精神。这部剧的女主是范文芳。 曹国辉和《东游记》里饰演何仙姑的郑秀珍有过一段情。郑秀珍长得骨感，气质很好，二人合作《飞越珍珠坊》时擦出爱火，拍拖几年后分手。不过演艺圈就是这么大，情人变路人之后，还能在同一部剧里演兄妹。 黄奕良 早期为中国观众所熟悉的新加坡演员。1986年，他与李南星担纲演出的《调色板》风靡了中国大陆等地。故事主要描述两个热爱美术的年轻人之间的友谊，家庭生活，爱情观和所面临的工作难题。 黄奕良饰演的陆恒娶了富家女莫纪萍（曾慧芬饰演），后来由于做生意迷失了自己，私生活不检点，让纪萍失望，决心离开丈夫到国外。结局是陆恒迷途知返，挽回了妻子，重归于好。 李南星饰演的吴启凡，女友自甘堕落当了有钱人的情妇，又回头来找他。最终他选择的是和青梅竹马、并肩奋斗的好朋友刘丽娟在一起。 这部剧我虽然看过，印象很模糊。还看过他演的《钻石人生》，合作演员是陈之财、林梅娇、刘琦。剧情也是记不清了，但是主题歌看到歌词就会唱： 为什么世事虽然多变幻 总有那离合悲欢剪不断 曾经冷眼把世人看 不怕风雨千番 如今我寂寞孤单泪已干 即使那成功在手也枉然 昨日的情爱已消散 想要回头却已难 曾经强求太多 换得几许失落 一切仿佛都是梦 会不会转眼成空 黄奕良和林梅娇同是新广（新传媒前身）第六期演员训练班出身的演员，两人在1991年结婚，育有一个漂亮的女儿，可惜婚姻维持了7年就结束。黄奕良后来再婚，生了一子。 2014年央视播出的电视剧《 湄公河大案》里也有黄奕良，饰演缅甸内政处长，这是一部神奇的主旋律电视剧，演员有大陆的陈宝国、杜志国、尤勇、王千源，台湾的李立群、刘德凯；香港的李修贤、张兆辉、骆达华…… 陈天文 这位大家肯定脸熟。 1986年，与林明哲、李文海、胡淑珍主演新加坡古装历史剧《绝代双雄》，饰演宋太宗赵光义。1993年《莲花争霸》饰演有几分悲情色彩的南宫世家大少爷南宫剑。1997年《真命小和尚》饰演铁桶师叔。他还在《东游记》中饰演东海恶蛟；马景涛主演的新加坡版《笑傲江湖》中饰演采花大盗田伯光。 更让人难忘的，还是《情丝万缕》里，他饰演范勤（潘玲玲）第二段感情的男主，本来要与妻子离婚和范勤在一起，结果妻子得了癌症，只得黯然放弃这段感情。 陈澍承 新加坡资深演员，经验丰富，地位超然，新传媒的后辈艺人，无不尊称他为“大哥”。 在无数部电视剧看到他，《人在旅途》《天涯同命鸟》《怒海萍踪》《君子好逑》《窈窕淑女》《三面夏娃》《昆仑奴》……从男主演到男主/女主的爸爸，好人、坏人、忠厚的、搞笑的、好色的角色统统都演过。 在2002年《红星大奖》上，陈澍承获颁“特别成就奖”，实至名归。老年的样子居然有几分像姜大卫。 李铭顺 最后说下李铭顺。 他是近年来内地观众最熟悉的新加坡演员，因为出演的中国影视剧特别多，所以被新加坡传媒视为最具海外价值的男艺人。 我不喜欢他，他属于让我无感的那种长相。 李铭顺也是因为参加《才华横溢出新秀》比赛并获得男子组亚军，从而进入演艺圈的，那是1995年。 1997年，他与赖兴祥、淳于珊珊等联袂主演电视剧《和平的代价》，凭借在该片中饰演的谢国民一角获得红星大奖最佳男主角奖。 李铭顺最为人津津乐道的角色，无疑是新加坡版《神雕侠侣》的杨过了。他和饰演小龙女的范文芳由此被观众评为荧屏最佳情侣。 话说杨过真的是金庸男主角里的人气王，不是一般男星能hold住的，李铭顺的演绎虽然不及刘德华和古天乐，基本还算ok，属于不那么被人吐槽的。主要是有任贤齐牺牲自己为众人垫底的缘故，哈哈。 李铭顺还在孙耀威、林志颖先后主演的《陆小凤》里都饰演西门吹雪这个角色，一身白衣，面容冷峻，气场不错。 2001年，李铭顺与范文芳、焦恩俊、张玉嬿等主演电视剧《白蛇新传》，饰演许仙，范文芳则是白娘子。 李铭顺和范文芳同样是沿袭当年陈之财&向云、陈泰鸣&陈莉萍的老路。 李铭顺说，虽然他和范文芳一起拍过很多戏，但当时范文芳很红，他还是新人，根本不敢多想，后来拍了很多剧，大家越来越熟，也觉得可能是缘分到了，就开始慢慢深入了解和接触。一般认为他们是在2000年拍摄《星锁》的时候相恋的。 李铭顺曾经在2005年改名为李名顺，2007年改回李铭顺，好像是和他车祸案有点关系。2006年10月8日，李铭顺酒后驾车撞伤人后离开现场，未对伤者伸出援手，由于情节严重引发舆论哗然。 2007年5月，李铭顺被判坐牢4个星期。他放弃了上诉，入狱服刑，并发表声明表示忏悔。 2009年5月16日，李铭顺与范文芳在新加坡低调注册。 2014年8月9日生下一子，现在快两岁了。 Guest Tanglin Constructions Posted January 9, 2018 Report Share Posted January 9, 2018 I know many readers here don't like Tanglin, or really most shows from Mediacorp, but one of the new subplots on the series involves Indian and PRC construction workers. The maid for the Indian family is dating a construction worker, who along with his PRC colleague, is constantly mistreated by their supervisor. Not sure where this story arc is going but it's interesting that the producers are moving more out of their comfort zone. Side notes for those who aren't familiar with Tanglin, it's a Channel 5 series about four fictional families who live in the Tanglin area, one middle class Chinese who run a popular coffee house, one rich Chinese who run food processing businesses, one Malay headed by a widow, and one Indian featuring father and son doctors.
