In most of her 对手戏 with the old hag, she comes off as more immersed in her character. Very good potential. Most of the shows are not fantastic, hardly a classic but still watchable, easy to catch as in not needing a lot of brain power to understand. I like a lot of the artistes and also loath some. Over the years, some shows and/or some scenes did moved and touched me. This forum page has added A LOT of spicy elements to our local mandarin entertainment scenes. i enjoy it a lot for the news and gossips, and glad for the Sherlocks sleuthing for the hidden underground secret infos... NOT SO much for the bitch fighting though. Recent digs on Benjamin Tan's past very impressive, and enlightening. What a polar difference of his real and reel life! I almost fell in love with his character 贵强. haha. Then again, nothing wrong with chasing after a comfortable life. Erasing his past most likely is mediacorp doing. Same like all employers, employees are given a staff guide book of dos and don'ts. you are under my employ, you must follow my company rules and regulations. For examples, i hate wearing a tie, but under employment in a hospital and for my staff grade, i MUST wear a tie! So everyday i wear a tie loh. Very bluntly put, take their salary, eat their shit loh. In fact Elvin Ng admitted to me some years ago that the characters he played and his public image were anything BUT. Of course i dont know how he is in real life... he said, with utmost subtlety that his manager, and mediacorp, and his countless sponsors had an unwritten (likely spoken) guideline for him to carry himself - what he should wear, how and what he can say, what he can reveal to public, do this, better dont do this, cannot do this, etc etc etc etc.... Looking at his millions dollar property now, i think the sacrifice is a small one. Well in life, especially in the entertainment industry, you get some (fame and fortune) but you have to sacrifice some (your true self) at the same time.
