I have nothing against these 2 ladies, but Mediacorp as a tv stations, supposedly a place to nurture stars or real actress, has failed miserably.Mediacorp's production currently by far, are created for some elderly or some really poor people who has no other form of entertainment (like cable). For many of you who has the exposure (of either having cable or some downloaded movies, or even stayed abroad watching others' TV programme) will know that all channels in mediacorp are far from satisfactory. That is why when some souls here talk about how good mediacorp artises are, I wonder whether you know how pathetic the standards have become. Everyone knows that Zoe Tay is a case of 'set price high but no market'. Since her swallowing scandal and high-definition wrinkles controversy, advertisers like Imedeen and Garnier have given her a wide berth. She's had no real lucrative endorsement since 2006, only the odd bak kwa ad during Chinese New Year. Compare this to Joanne Peh, queen of endorsements with top brands like Jetstar, True Yoga, Mitsubitshi and Laurier.Jeanette Aw too, with brands like Olay, New Moon, SK Jewellery and Owl Coffee. This Zoe Tay is just overhyped and overrated, she can No 1 and Queen all she wants but she's just the most overrated expired old hag around in MCS. Another fact to note is that the TV stations must have spend $$$$ to package all the artistes for the opening with all the gowns and dresses.It is sad to note that most of the artistes are lousy in their acting with lousy shows despite the obvious effort to make the event glamourous.Last fact to note is that we really need Sporeans who can speak good mandarin and express well to host programmes.
