This applies everywhere, not just MDC. Look at China, so many young 'idol' actors who can't act for nuts (even worse than Elvin) but survive purely based on looks and popularity. You can tell he REALLY likes the adoration he receives from XMMs even though he is already 40-years old. Compare his attitude to his peers like Julian Hee (who is super private) or Shaun Chen and Pierre Png (who focuses on improving their acting and don't care about popularity) then its no surprise why Elvin's acting never improve over the years. He enjoys the fame and doesn't seem very bothered by the lack of respect. If he had more integrity, he would have enrolled himself for some acting course like Julie Tan did.
