After entering showbiz in 2006, Yeoh was labelled one of MediaCorp's Seven Princesses, along with Joanne Peh and Rui En. Then Woo found out that her boyfriend had grown close to Fu Fangrong, his teen co-star on the upcoming Channel U drama Jump, calling her "baby" in his text messages to her. Edwin told Lianhe Wanbao that he and Fu were just friends. He confessed that he had kissed Yeoh, but denied two-timing Woo. Explaining that the kiss with Yeoh was "a joke of sorts", he insisted that "it's impossible between us". Then, he revealed he had split up with Woo a few weeks ago.
