Guest Kim tae yang Posted May 1, 2022 Report Share Posted May 1, 2022 I might like to highlight that actors and actresses of any repute in AMERICA, U.K , AUSTRALIA, TAIWAN , CHINA, JAPAN , KOREA and some others go to a proper acting , drama , school, since young , some before ten , some in their teens, those in China have to learn film kungfu martial arts,on how to walk , how to stand , how to talk, also go for music training, voice lessons, training the diaphragm on how to breathe , project voices, those in UK aims to enter Royal Academy of Acting and perfirmance, same they undergo music training , proper voice teachers of deep experience, those with pre entry musical instruments talents gets to hone skills further their music pedigree be it in piano, sax, harmo ica etc, and they get to audition and perform in all kinds of small productions, from small roles, to middle roles to big roles, west end , broadway, audition , audtion , auditìon , and meanwhile theY take on all kinds of PT work like , waiter bartender, delivery. US , also same process, Taiwan have a drama and performance university same hard training from young , hardships, tears, parttime jobs to get by, and then bit roles mid roles to big roles. Same like Korea and Japan theiir big stars of today went through training like slave camp, beatings, slappings , tears maybe even sexual predatoring by seniors , directors and producers. Our local crop of ' talents' only undergo a brief period of training, dance, singing, hosting , voice training, cannot blame them , that its how , SBC, TCS, Mediacorp is structured, limited budget, and full of dead wood in the management who have limited international exposure plus Singapore market is so small.... find sponsors already so difficult. Last time David Gan' s hair salon pao kah liow for many years doing makeup, hair , wardrob and.kinds, then budget cut, THEY DO INHOUSE MAKE UP AND HAIR, har buay sai jiak, then engage Adie Lee s hair salon company. So , given the situation of the mother HQ is of limited exposure in 培养人才，。 IT IS understandable that local Audience will find each new crop lacking in star quality and x factor. But it is how it is.
