After his Best Actor win in 2015, Shaun was heavily promoted by MDC, headlining so many of their blockbuster productions from 206 to 2019. But from 2020 onwards, seems like he is back to playing bad guy roles... which is disappointing because he is a solid actor and has been getting into Top 10 consecutively for the past few years. She only had 1 drama last year, Shero; she was the 2nd lead after Joanne, not the 1st lead. Mediacorp's current IT girls are Chantelle and Tasha. They both got so many dramas. Before watching this, I thought they are all oblivious to their dismal ratings - a friend in the media industry once told me that 'the only people watching Mediacorp dramas are people working in Mediacorp'. Hearing the comments from Desmond Tan makes me realise why so many Mediacorp actors are leaving. As an actor, it must be disheartening to know the shows you put so much effort into acting doesn't get much views. Honestly, if Mediacorp dares to produce a gay drama - confirm ratings go up. Look at Thai film industry. Their entire film industry was revived by BL dramas - all the biggest Thai actors are all former BL actors.
