But the greater evil has to be JA for in addition to acting cute, she tries very hard to act very girly way beyond her age. Conversely, RE acts more tom boy (豪迈 and 潇洒) which is not so puke inducing. Nonetheless, the biggest fault is that of the producers/directors for choosing such unsuitable artistes for these roles decades younger than their actual age. Really a case of 爱你变成害你. Seems like Mediacrap really has not learnt its mistake from The Ultimatum. The character of Fei-er was indeed well portrayed by Jeanette Aw. The role is flawed and imperfect, but it felt so real. I too hope that she bags the Best Actress award next year. The beginning was good - fresh and thought-provoking, and scripting was good, though some remnants of the telling-too-much was still there. It had a lot of promise to become sophisticated... but it descended into the typical tv8 melodrama - love triangles, love affair, unrequited love, tragic love, parent-child, sacrifice, etc... Became less inventive and thoughtful, and too sentimental and indulgent. Luckily I watched on xin.msn I just skipped all the "MTV" parts where the characters emo and flashback over the soundtrack, or take too long to come to a predictable resolution - saved me some 30 minutes per episode. Disappointing for scripting. Production design was fantastic, though. But I'm disgusted by all the product placements. All too in-your-face and unnatural.
