Cloud Nine BodyCare Spa -Somerset MRT Station - Cuppage Plaza ( OG Behind )

Tried Soo-Ho.

Nice guy. Communication not great, because he is lacking English skill.

Massage is good, I liked it and really helped my headache which I was having for the past 3 days before I went for massage. After his massage, my headache stops.

The only thing is I was hoping for a more sensual massage too, but his massage is purely professional massage. Told me, he started like 9 days ago but has been doing massage over a year.

I would rate him about 7.5/10 for massage - I feel like there is a room for improvement, 10/10 for being nice and accommodating. The description said he is "muscular", but since I do bodybuilding, my muscular description is quite different. I would say he is lean meaty HAHA.

I definitely would come back. Won't be opposed to go back to So-Hoo, but I would want to try another therapist. There is another therapist over there at that time, I saw him for like a short glimpse. he is more of my type, shame I dont see or know his name.

How extraordinary! Ming is the most UNLIKELY person to be rude there. Grayson, on the other hand, was well-known to be stand-offish over at Dsparadise, often complaining about the dismal tipping habits of customers.

Unfortunately, my review for him is bad.

For those who have done body scrub:

how was the it? is the product they are using good? feel expensive? or meh?

And after doing the scrub, do you walk down the corridor with scrubs on you to take a shower? lol

Scrub is in a WET area, with showering point, so therez no question of you parading naked to the shower room, much as you might want to!!!!

I recently tried Grayson. He's from China and has only been here for six months. I find him to be friendly and approachable despite my lack of command in Mandarin, and I find his massage skills very good. His strong strokes are effective but not forced, hence a very pleasant and relaxing massage which resulted in me having a very good night's sleep.

By today's living standard; a tip should not be less than $10. Generally masseurs working at establishment are not well paid plus the commission they get for each booking is also not much; hence a generous tip is what the masseur hopes for after he delivered a good massage. If he gets $20 tip per day and working 25 days; he would be richer by $500. Considering most of the masseurs are from Malaysia, China or Indonesia; converting S$500 into their local currencies is a lot of money. It It is alright not to tip home based masseurs but please tip the masseurs working at establishment.

When Sonny first came to the scene, there was some excitement, he being so young and fresh, with so much alluring potential. But the subsequent internet silence was deafening! Why? Pace lonelyboy11, Sonny was a disappointing dud, the embodiment of BOREDOM, so sometimes no news can be construed as bad news since no one wants to be seen to be the bad guy who yells "The emperor has no clothes!"

And...? What does that got to do with my review of Ming since you are quoting me?

When Brendan became boss of Dspa, I wonder if anybody still asked to be served by him. Those who did probably fell into 2 categories, either they were too dim to realise Brendan had become boss or they dunno enuf to accord him proper respect as boss.

Which category do you fall into, nihao88?!

Any one tried Mike the part time therapist before? Any review?

Once upon a time, there was an outlet at Furama called Waterboy, operated by an agent named Henry whose Hongkie affiliate Michael used to bring in delectable China boys. Waterboy was managed by a Malaysian called Max. Lance, erstwhile of Shuang, also worked there briefly. While setting up operations at Waterboy, a mature Indian security guard lurked around observing, much to everyone's dismay. Eventually, Max was exasperated enough to ask what he wanted. The mature slouchy lumbering man said he hoped to work part-time with us as masseur! Nobody knew what to say!

Mike qualifies as one of those unbashful people who are clueless but yet plucky enough to take the plunge into dangerous waters!

If you read one of the replies up there. It would suggest that Rain is now one of the bosses of Dspa and is NO LONGER working as a masseur. Which is why you don't see his name in the website now. My god.... 😑

Rain, one of bosses of Dspa?! Dun ppl know how to read analogies?! Brendan is to Dspa as Rain is to _____? Jeez!

There is another good reason why the boss canNOT be seen to do massage. If the workers earn from amount of work done/number of customers, then participation by the boss is tantamount to stealing work from the workers, which is regarded as EXTREMELY outrageous and unbecoming. So, strict no-no! Please do NOT knowingly ask the boss to massage for you!

When Ken and Jack took over One One, they obliged their regular customers from Nature Forest in the beginning to start the ball rolling but had to decline them subsequently because their workers began to look askance at what they were doing. It's great to see bosses at the mercy of workers for once!

Just had a massage with Soo-ho & it wasn't great for him as he's feeling unwell. He's trying his best to communicate english with me & I'm awared. I used google translator to concern about him. Lol Overall, his massage was good & he tried to complete it professionally. Probably the xxxxxxxx made him sleepy & I felt the movement of hands were slower a bit but he did it completely. Keep it up! Go for him if you're keen. ^^

UNWELL and still working?!!  Spreading disease all round? In this age of pandemics, even a stifled sneeze in the train will trigger angry glares and for a good reason. When it comes to close contact like massage, it is totally UNACCEPTABLE for the masseur to be unwell and stlll working!

Smokers amongst the masseurs will often cough and then claim it's juz smoker's cough, like a covid cough is distinguishable from a smoker's cough! Smoke until u get a chronic cough is hardly an excuse that will elicit any sympathy from customers.

Your first time having a massage?  Have a shower first. You can do it there. Do give a tip if you are satisfied. Enjoy. It is only a massage not an exam.

I am just asking for comments/feedback if he is good or not before trying him out ... don't really understand what you are implying

The two massage operators in Chinatown running Waterspa/Shuang and Dspa/SpaD are related in that the bosses of Dspa and SpaD were originally from Relaxy under Andy who now manages Waterspa. Between them, they rule the massage 天下 as the dominant players in Chinatown for the past 2 decades.

Rain is a total outsider, wholly removed from the Chinatown ecosystem, so how likely is it that hez now become boss of Dspa, especially when he is at the rival Cloud9?!!!

There are a number of good reasons why bosses dun want to be identified as such, for one, you are held responsible for things when they go awry! Some bosses hide and lurk behind the curtains where they belong, others pretend to be one of the staff, often with hilarious results.

Some of the bosses I never knew were bosses until much later include:

Ah Boy of ABS (which actually stands for Ah Boy + Sky!)

Sebastian of Alleviate

Tex of His Cherie when he was there briefly after Oceanic. (At Oceanic he actually cried at the stairwell on his first day because some customer 占他便宜!)

Steven of Luap Luap, who insisted on doing me bcoz none of the boys were there yet. I couldnt imagine such an abomination was boss!
