Taipei?  So boring as if we have not have enough of city life.  I prefer New Zealand, the mountains, river and the ranch.

I also think that New Zealand is an ideal place for tourism, which I would like to visit.   Now, for a beginning traveler,  no place is boring because there is the excitement of the first experience of being in a foreign land.

Why? The feeling of lost? And have no routine? And have no sense of schedule and time? Where to eat? Where go buy grocery?

Guest Cruise ship

I suggest going on a cruise ship.

That way you enjoy the travel experience with many others... And you can Dock at the port for visit etc. Feel safe. Don't have to worry about hotel etc.

Its best for beginner.

This is why in an early post I wrote:  "- Research, research, research the place of your destination before the trip.  Load a mental map in your head, with good orientations.  Get familiar with the public transportation, how to go between the airport and the hotel.  "

The more inexperienced,  the more important is to do a comprehensive research of the place to be visited, and even mentally in the head research the steps to take when at the destination,  and depending on the hotel think of where to eat, buy groceries?, how to move around, what places to visit, etc.

LOL!  I would have liked to see your face when you were served some insects soup in a monkey skull!  ( like in one of the movies with Harrison Ford )

if you are keen, I surely can tell you about some food that was served in different locations in Asia on business trips...

But... if you are on a business trip,  you are supposed to be treated well eating only in fine restaurants,  since you can put it down in your expense account.

I'm reaching 30 soon and I have never travelled in my life..

Never booked a plane.

Never booked a hotel.

Never know how to holiday in another country.

Can anyone suggest any beginner friendly location for holiday? Best to avoid tourist scam spot. I scared.

Just wanted to go somewhere in my 30th alone and be lost so where else?

Any idea?

Perth... I did a trip myself.. can navigate easily with a bicycle. The nights are beautiful and safe to sleep outside on a bench if you aren't afraid of cold.

Been to Auckland before.. the road isn't as comfortable as in Perth... Many cars.. but Perth has lesser cars... I rode a bicycle around Perth.

Is the more comfortable road a sufficient reason to choose Perth over Auckland or Sydney?   Although Australia is an interesting country,  New Zealand seems to offer an exciting visit.   Now,  if you are a young guy,  perhaps you could fly to Sydney and then travel from there to Perth... on motorcycle?   ( too long a stretch to bicycle ). People I know have traveled in South America from Tierra del Fuego to the USA.  The Che Guevara did something like that...

Why you write this?  What I have posted fits exactly into the topic of the thread.   Are you envious because you don't have anything intelligent to say?

Oh, I get it: you don’t even understand that your ramblings are totally off topic. Now it makes sense.

what is intelligent about suggesting to someone who has NEVER travelled before and is incredibly nervous about it that they should think about riding a motorbike from Sydney to Perth?! That sounds like a dumb as fuck irrelevant and off topic suggestion.

You didn't even noticed that my suggestion to travel from Sydney to Perth in motorcycle was made to Guest Messyme,  not to the TS?

Your urge to bash and insult didn't even allowed you to read correctly!  What a pity...

As a first-time traveler, it would be best to travel to Singapore. All the attractions are within the city so you can visit as much as you can. The airport is also an attraction, you can enjoy it for free. If you don't have any ideas about what things to do in Singapore, you might find this helpful https://gowithguide.com/singapore. Also, the accommodation is relatively expensive especially if you're alone. You can find cheap food at Hawker. I would suggest, you can spend 2-3 days in Singapore and jump to Malaysia which is way cheaper and is also worth visiting.

I hope you'll be able to get out of your comfort zone!
