From my understanding, the license key is send via email where you do not get the box but It's so much cheaper. Just wondering if is safe and reliable? It's not illegal right to buy thise right? Can someone who had bought those share please. Thank you. Tried before. You will encounter issue if you use OneDrive to synchronise your work. What actually happened to my two encounters was that I received some “warning” from Microsoft when I used OneDrive that it’s not a legit licence and all my work that was uploaded to one drive will be erased by a given date. You might still be able to use the office app alone without using OneDrive. I did manage to use standalone Microsoft office app from licence bought via Shopee without any issue. Altho the price is cheaper but also dont want waste the money to get something that gives more problem. What I am afraid is that it's not 'legal', not original (cannot auto update patches). Long time never update, there used to be a Home version for Student/Corporate that is like $10-15 for that version (one time payment). Do you have access to a corporate job? https://www.microsoft.com/en-sg/workplace-discount-program now like subscription based. See if you have friends/kids who are still schooling, they might have access to a student version. If the use is simple, would you try things like Google, Dropbox also have a basic editor. Have not decided which version to get yet. Yes, The Home & Student Version is cheaper, less than $20.00. Tried those compatible office, but some documents received in OFFICE format cannot be displayed correctly. That's why thinking to get another copy. keyboard Posted August 5, 2023 Report Share Posted August 5, 2023 i asked the IT guys in the office. so the cheapest way to get office would be the corporate version they sell off shopee. Buy it from Malaysia shopee and it's about S$3. Only downside is there is no OneDrive (not part of that company domain) and it will "expire" once that company no longer have a Microsoft support contract.
