Politics too stressful. Need love to fight through the daily stress. You have no idea the amount of stress director have to sit in their quiet office and have everyone talk shit about them. While they take home million dollars pay.

Their fans hate them, the citizen hates them. They only have each other to love love.

That's why ppl go into politics. For the love. Not the money. For the. Love. For the character of politicians.

Oh, puuuulizzzzz... People are in the politics for the money, either directly or indirectly. Even the love and sex etc is all for the MOOOOONNNNEEEEEYYYYY.

It's time Singaporeans wakes up to the reality already. This has been happening since the birth of Singapore. It's just that undertable money did not take such a big cetrestage in the past when everyone was prospering together. A few warning shots here and there in the past gave everyone the idea that the politicians and everyone is so squeaky clean.

But now with the rich-poor divide widening, and the politicians couldn't even bother to keep the cost of living affordable with even HDB's costing more than a million in some transactions, the corruption and everything is becoming more and more apparent for all to see.

Good luck, Singaporeans. LKY will be "proud" to see what his Parliament has become.

as a species, human has a high fatality rate for miscarriage. hence human could have a high female to mate ratio birth rate naturally, the demographic narrows down to a balance one in the elder age group. therefore could it be almost an instinct that our species are one which promotes polygamy.

today, we are so advance in medical science but yet we cannot change the human instinct for evolution take many years to happen. I am not sure if the process of evolution takes advancement of medical science into account. the human demographic takes on a different outlook after the introduction of monogamy over a few centuries.

in mammal species it is common that the dominant male or females get to mate more than less dominant counterparts. so does this shows that our species are attracted to those which or whom display good physical and intelligence?

Don't misunderstand all these people.

They were just discussing politics and how to solve the world crisis.

The weather is always hot and humid here as you all know.  In order to save planet earth, they had no choice but to resort to taking off clothes....

Unfortunately,  there are still a lot of old aunties who think SG will die without PAP. Our hope is with the youngster who are more ready for a change.

Rich and poor widening? They tell you no such thing except rich live in bungalow where the toilet are probably bigger than a 2 room flat?

Ok back to topic,  dont know what nicole see in this perera guy,  no wonder SG divorce rate is like 1 out of every 4 marriage.

What I really find most disturbing is how fast the video of the supposed Leon and Nicole went viral. It laid dormant for years, but yet, within hours, or maybe even minutes, when the news about TCJ and CLH broke, the video resurfaced.

Food for thought: just how much resources did the ruling party pump into their internet brigade nowadays?

Goes to show that the politics in Sg is not about running the country right anymore. It is more about getting social clout in their political mudslinging.

The country have really reneged to a Third World status in more than one way. First, we have a Leader of the House throwing papers up into the air in a fit of supposed frustration and then telling others about "Parliamentary propriety". Now we have this.... And that's not even talking about the Ridout cases and the anti-graft situation.

SINGAPORE – Rumours of an affair between Aljunied GRC MP Leon Perera and senior Workers’ Party (WP) member Nicole Seah began swirling within party circles between late 2020 and early 2021, The Straits Times has learnt.

Allegations of the duo frequenting hotels and behaving inappropriately with each other since mid-2020 had made their rounds among WP members, and the issue was brought up to the party’s leaders around early 2021.

Mr Perera was mentoring Ms Seah at the time, and while it was expected that they would be spending more time with each other, sources that spoke to ST said some felt there was more happening between the pair.

Text messages seen by ST showed that those who were told about the allegations included WP chairman Sylvia Lim and Sengkang GRC MP Jamus Lim.

Party chief Pritam Singh and MPs Gerald Giam and Dennis Tan were also believed to have been informed about the allegations.

When asked on Monday night about the text messages alerting WP leaders to the affair, Mr Singh said he would address this “at one go” when he provides an update to the media “in due course”.

Mr Singh and other party leaders had met at the WP headquarters in Geylang on Monday to discuss the matter involving Mr Perera and Ms Seah.

Mr Singh, who is the Leader of the Opposition, told ST that deliberations by the WP’s central executive committee (CEC) were ongoing.

WP CEC members present at the meeting included Ms Lim, former party chief Low Thia Khiang, Mr Giam, Mr Faisal Manap, Mr Dennis Tan, Associate Professor Lim, Mr Louis Chua and Ms He Ting Ru, among others.

Mr Perera and Ms Seah – who are both married and sit on the WP’s 15-member CEC – were not present.

The WP had said on Monday that it was looking into a video clip circulating online that “suggests an inappropriate exchange between two senior party members”.

A 15-second video clip shared on social media on Monday appeared to show Mr Perera sharing an intimate moment with Ms Seah at an eatery. The man in the video is seen stroking the woman’s hand

Maybe WP Leaders know that Nicole Seah is a strong weapon for the party (for the next GE), but if they don't sack her, then consider double standard (for Yaw Shin Long's case).

If they really sack Nicole Seah, then next GE nothing much to look forward since she is quite a strong weapon against PAP.

This compared to TCJ and CLH is more serious in that Leon and Nicole are both married with children and they have the damning video !!

If the rumours that Nicole and Leon were frequenting hotels andbehaving inappropriately with each other since mid-2020 are true and WP retains them both in the party for their political agenda against the ruling party, it speaks volumes of what WP stands for. Most Singaporeans have not forgotten the Raeesah Khan's episode..

And if Leon and Nicole were to flee like Yaw Shin Leong,  i say ho say to WP, you 👍

PAP was strategic in this political love. Even when there is an affair scandal, somehow the WP one feels more scandalous. Where as the PAP one was announced by the party. WP is found out by public first.

So well done PAP, you made the best sacrificial move.

Yah, so let's see what WP will do. If they retain Leon or Nicole in the party or re-employ Yaw's flee without explanation tactics,  i will say well done WP  !! For showing us what the party stands for.

Well done? If it is so well done, PAP should have accepted TCJ's resignation as early as Feb and let him go, instead of asking him to hang on till now under the false pretense of "handing over" duties. Look at how much has the other day MPs in his constituency taken over? Some of his ward residents are only beginning to see the new MPs after the saga erupt, and that's 5 months after TCJ tendered his resignation.

Compare this to Michael Palmer's case. His resignation came about within ONE week of getting found out. Now THAT was a sacrificial move.

And you want to talk about the public finding out about something? Go take a look at the Ridout case. Who found out about it first? Also the PUBLIC.

So, did PAP made a "strategic move" ...? Not at all. This merely showed that PAP has COMPLETELY lost its control over and respect from its own members including Iswaran, Shanmugan and Vivian. Nobody holds any respect for his party anymore, not the citizens, not his party members and not even his own family. As a matter of fact, take a look at all those MPs who have resigned or quitted from office under his watch.. from Teo Ser Luck, to Yacob Ibrahim, to Khaw Boon Wan, to Goh Chok Tong... I guess when the previous clear pool gets muddy, the least that those, who do not want to get dirtied, can do is to leave the pool.

Need I say more?

Leon Perera, Nicole Seah resign from Workers' Party over extramarital affair

Leon Perera, Nicole Seah resign from Workers' Party over extramarital affair

SINGAPORE: Workers' Party (WP) senior members Leon Perera and Nicole Seah have resigned from the opposition party after having an extramarital affair, Secretary-General Pritam Singh announced on Wednesday (Jul 19).

He also said that Mr Perera has informed the acting Speaker of Parliament that he will be resigning his MP’s seat.

“Both of them admitted that they had an affair, which started after the General Elections of 2020, but that it had stopped some time ago,” said Mr Singh at a press conference, adding that they had previously told the party that there was no truth to allegations of an affair when the claims surfaced in 2021.

This comes two days after a video clip apparently showing the pair surfaced on Facebook, prompting the party to say that it was looking into an "inappropriate exchange between two senior Party members".

It added then that the party "expects all its members to fully own and account for their behaviour".

The silent 15-second clip appeared to show Mr Perera - a Member of Parliament for Aljunied - dining with 2020 General Election candidate Ms Seah while holding and stroking her hands.

It is not known when or where the video was shot. It was first posted by Facebook user "Victoria Wang" and as of Tuesday evening, the video and the account were no longer available.

Both Mr Perera and Ms Seah are married.

Mr Perera, who turns 53 this year, has two children. Ms Seah, 36, had her second child in April last year.

The pair sat on the WP's central executive committee. Mr Perera headed the media team while Ms Seah was the youth wing president.

Mr Perera first emerged onto Singapore's political scene when he ran as a candidate for East Coast during the 2015 general election. He subsequently became a Non-Constituency MP, before joining the WP's winning slate for its Aljunied stronghold at the 2020 polls.

Prior to politics, he was a civil servant and later co-founder and chief executive officer of a business research and consulting agency.

Ms Seah joined the WP in 2015, contesting in East Coast GRC at the 2020 polls, after earlier stints with the Reform Party and National Solidarity Party. She shot to online fame as the youngest female candidate at the 2011 General Election, when she was 24.

Ms Seah was last reported in 2020 to be working at a multinational marketing firm.

In 2012, the WP expelled then-Hougang MP Yaw Shin Leong following rumours of an extramarital affair. The incident resurfaced in 2021 when the party refuted claims by Mr Yaw that he was told to stay silent after the alleged affair.

On Monday, former Speaker of Parliament Tan Chuan-Jin - who had been MP for Marine Parade GRC since 2011 - resigned from parliament and the ruling People's Action Party.

He had been having an affair with fellow PAP MP Cheng Li Hui, who also resigned from the party.

No news of your two "rooks" been sacrificed yet. And don't you mean PAP sacrificed 1 bishop and 1 rook, for another rook and a pawn? Is it really worth it?

On top of that, what if the bishop defect to become the bishop of the other side?

  • G_M changed the title to Leon Perera and Nicole Seah Affair Discussion (compiled)

Summary:

When Pritam Singh knew abt the affair when Leon's personal approached him with logged details abt the affair. He took it with a grain of salt and refuted that there was no substantial evidence to back up the story.

When Pritam approached Leon and Nicole separately abt the hearsay, both denial abt it.

Leon even fabricate the story that he and his driver are on bad terms as he is in the midst of changing his personal driver.

Driver then went ard WP to email everyone in wp abt the alleged affair. That's when everyone asked Pritam Singh abt it.

Somewhere somehow, things died down till hardcore evidence from the "silent video" showing Leon caressing Nicole's hand in a public restaurant.

Now, both Leon and Nicole are removed WP and anything that is related to their political posts.

Old age or not, he's gonna become a public enemy now. I don't even know if I should pity him or not, for digging up old stories even though the affair had long ended.

Public enemy now ? Sure in the eyes of the hateful and spiteful supporters of the opposition parties and WP. It's so typical and representative of them so expect nothing short from them
