I'm looking at Vietnam at the moment. My original plan was to start at HCMC and slowly travel North.

At my age it might be a bit too optimistic so maybe settle for 2 trips. One doing the South and then the North on another trip.

It’s totally doable, depending on how long you go for. Vietnam is relatively inexpensive and really chill. I did 3 weeks and did HCMC - Da Nang/Hoi An and then to Hanoi, frankly I missed out on some of the natural gems in the north but stayed in Hanoi for about a week instead. It was great!

I decided to do what you did but stop in the middle(Da Nang, Hoi An & Hue).

I'll then fly back to HCMC for the last few days.

This trip will be a pleasant non rush visit of 3 weeks.

I'll do Hanoi & the North on another trip.

I'm retired so I can afford to take my time and stop and smell the roses.

is tw replacing jp as a popular destination now

It's a destination dupe for SK; also probably because everyone's travelling to JP at the mo.

Going to Koh Samui end of May for work (hopefully can squeeze some leisure in). Considering Melbourne in June and HK in December.

Nice! I didn’t do Hue but heard great things.

I stopped in Da Nang and Hoi A for a week total and it was nice! Straight from HCMC to Hanoi is a nightmare, Da Nang and Hoi An are much more chill places to recharge.

Hanoi is awesome, I loved the weather in December (AC weather!) but it was foggy for those who are going to Sa Pa or doing the HGL so it depends. I’d take Hanoi over HCMC any day but then again I didn’t spend enough time in HCMC so you’ll probably see much more and have a great time.

enjoy!

I have been looking for a trip to Spain for quite some time now, so much so that I have been watching a lot of videos about Spain. It almost feels like I have already visited there. I read a couple of articles as well https://www.spain.info/en/top/essential-sights and https://gowithguide.com/blog/tourism-in-spain-statistics-2024-your-in-depth-travel-guide-5686 Canary Island, Ibiza. See you soon.
