Sam64
Hi,Am planning to get a mini-laptop. Anyone has some good recommendations? My budget is SGD700. A friend of mine bought a Asus eeepc and said that it is pretty good, but gets hot after a while (bad ventilation). Some one suggested Dell. Hope to get some comments here. A friend of mine bought a Asus eeepc and said that it is pretty good, but gets hot after a while (bad ventilation). Some one suggested Dell. Hope to get some comments here. Eg:The model you ownCapacity:Function:Price:Etc.I will recommend Asus EEE 901 (12G SSD)Pros: Long battery life. (easily 4 - 5 hours usage) - spec: 8 hrsCons: Keyboard, lousy feelBUT, after evaluated 2 netbooks (1)Asus EEE 701 & Asus EEE 901, I finally gave up & sold them away, reason being is that netbook are not powerful enough for me to run some serious applications concurrently. In the end, I bought a LG notebook DuoCore processor at $1050, never been happier.Alternatively, if you foresee that you need more storage space, go for the 901HD model with higher capacity. The Asus EEE netbook series should fit your budget.Hary
