kidster
Ever since I started working from home, abs is harder to maintain with less walking and more sitting, especially immediately after meals. I wonder if using standing table helps. Is anyone using one now? What do we look for when buying one? Thanks
Salt&Pepper
I believe you are referring to a motorized height adjustable table when you wrote "standing table". I own one from Omnidesk. Theoretically it is true that standing burn more calories than sitting but I have my regular gym exercise routine so I dun switch my desk to standing position for that purpose. It's more about blood circulation for me. Especially when I'm playing games for hours and I'll rotate between sitting and standing. I also find it useful to switch to standing if I'm falling asleep but I need to keep myself awake to finish something. Other accidental plus for me are: 1. Under table much cleaner as easier to clean 😅 2. When learning and following workout routine on Youtube, dun need to constantly lowering head to look down to screen 3. The height of the desk is always to my exact preference for my height no matter sitting or standing What to look out for when buying one..... Make sure you get the CORRECT size you can fit into your available space horizontally and vertically. Why vertically...it depends on the size of your monitor and if you have overhanging wall cabinets or other installations at the location of the desk. Horizontally, not just the space you have to fit the table but what table-top estate you need and want. These kind of tables all not cheap so avoid regrets buying too big or too small. As for me and mine no regrets...☺️ Edited February 20, 2024 by Salt&Pepper kidster

singalion
If you're looking into health, posture and avoiding back issues not sure you should go Ikea. Ikea recently faced a lot of recalls and office products got bad ratings. Need to do detailled research...
