Guest quicksilver
When I’m in my Inbox page showing the respective emails heading and various folders by the side on the left, I am unable to open any mail. Moving the cursor about without clicking it, the bottom bar reads “java script:;” It’s been that way for 3 days already.Does anyone know what’s wrong and how I can overcome that. My browser is Firefox.
IkuTube
01. Is Java installed?02. This is an ISP (Singnet) unique problem. In your firefox, click Tools, Options > Advanced. Under 'Connection', click Settings.Change the 'Configure Proxies to Access the Internet' to 'Manual proxy configuration'. In the HTTP Proxy box, type 'proxy.singnet.com.sg' [without the quotes] and Port = 8080. Click OK, close firefox and restart the browser. Please revert. Guest quicksilver
I did not manually configured because when I got to the connection settings, I noticed none of the boxes were ticked, so I chose auto-detect. Closed window and open Inbox. It works! I’d post again if any problem. Thanks a bundle, IT! You lead the way. I just wonder why there was no such problem in the past. IkuTube
Thanks for the feedback.Yup, it is always best to check for auto detect.Somehow, such a problem is unique to Singnet. I suspect it has to do with ADSL connection.Should you change to manual in future, and the modem is bricked [outage], you need to change it to auto-detect. Failing to do so, you will not be able to access your router's browser. Guest quicksilver
My respective emails will not open for reading reading again no matter what options I selected in the connection settings window.I carried out the manual setting as suggested by IT and noticed there is this SOCKS Host that automatically checks v5.I have the latest java script installed.the link properties of each email are:quoteaddress: java script:;Will open in: same windowunquoteLooks like I have to give up using hotmail as this problem is confined to hotmail only.Strangely. no matter what the connection setting I experimented with (be it auto-detect or manual or even without any setting), my other email accounts and internet progams are not affected. Guest quicksilver
Spa, try the manual configuration suggested by IT. The SOCKS Host should be automatically v5. The thing is you MUST restart the PC.My email account is OK now after restarting. Sorry for the false alarm because I failed to restart.I hope it is OK for sure.
