What you mean by "missed"?  You wanted to be there to help the divers come out of the water?

 

You still have plenty of videos on YouTube that show these events in more detail than you could have experienced in person,  with even slow playbacks.  Yes, you cannot SMELL the divers displayed on your monitor.  But who likes the smell of chlorine?

Besides US and China having the same amount of Gold Medals, however the US won a lot more medals in total. 

 

US had 1 Gold medal more if that one US athlete had not objected to share the gold with another athlete. Due his refusal he just received silver... ha ha. 

 

We ought also to be aware that the medal tally had looked very much different if Russia had participated. 

 

American high-jumper Shelby McEwen recently stirred debate after his decision to decline a shared Olympic gold medal during the Paris Games, ultimately resulting in him taking home the silver.

Yes, agree. China as a whole tops the medal table having won the most gold medals while US can claim to win the most medals than any other countries.

impress with New Zealand performance of 10 gold,  7 silver and 3 bronze, rank number 11. Given the same population size as SG,  that's a remarkable achievement, who say small population cannot win?

 

On the other hand, u can be the most populated country in the world but left without a gold medal.

surprised no one mentioned about our youngest Olympics medalist, Max Maeder.

 

he's not attractive to me and he's too young anw but for a 17yo, I must say he's really matured and has high EQ!

I also think that there are are more exclusive sports to get medals in the Olympics than kiteboarding.  Where are the SG medals in men's gymnastics, diving, swimming, etc.?
