Singapore's Gay Scene... is this true?

What I see in this video is so much more than what I have experienced in my many visits to the island.    The video is quite recent, but there are comments already about it not being up-to-date, that there is much newness not included.  LOL!   If all this is true,...  what am I waiting to visit Singapore again ??

I find hard to believe here what they tell as "Typical Prices".  Budget hotels at $50 a night?  Mid-range at $110 a night?  5-star ones at $250+ ?   This sounds more like Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, not Singapore.  Not even in the days I was there...   I don't care about the food, but... so many gay clubs and bars now?   And the saunas... they look here much nicer than I remember them.   "The Mens Club"?  I don't remember this one, ha ha.

Could this be a commercial promotional video?  I hope that the experts at BW will clarify much here!  :)

The gays/guys appeared on the video all are cute and nice bod. Is what the video portray SG gays are mostly cute? 😂

Yes.  It seems that the video, rather than fully realistic, is promotional.

It sounds more like AI entirely created this video and so there are so many mistruths in the video.

Thanks.  It seems that my suspicions are confirmed.  Take it from a 81 y.o., we cannot trust too much, there is falsity and deception everywhere...

Yes, like it seems that you learned English 2000 years ago,  I learned personally about Singapore 11 and more years ago.  But since then, I have been reading much about it here at BW.  I assume that I can trust what you guys write about your country, do I ??

A bit too shiny...

It didn't state that on Pink Dot event only Singaporeans are permitted to enter the Pink Dot.

Eventually they got some funding from Singapore Tourism Board?

Do you have any intention to come visit Singapore any time soon?

I don't rule it out,  although my motivation of sex is much reduced. I would do it later on, in a visit including KL and Bangkok, as a way of reminisence.

In the near future my plan is to visit again my country Argentina with my sister, and then travel together throughout Europe, visiting my family's original town in Germany, and many historical places in this Western continent.

You intended to write "cute" instead of "crude" ?   But visitors to the SG gay scene should be gay, and isn't this a reason to be more cute than the average Ang Moh?  Aren't we gays at least a little more cute than the average males?

Guest Hate the West Video

To be honest, I don't think the gay scene in Singapore should look like the scenes in the video.    Instead of constantly trying to create a circus-style party atmosphere where being naked and nude is seen as our main characteristic and becomes our only trade mark in this society, I would much rather have a much more dignified atmosphere where acceptance of us comes naturally,  awareness thru education,  in the form of touching stories, peer's experiences imparted thru talks, conferences.   I don't want being gay to be connected to a bunch of bright, boisterous madness like beast gone wild

ha ha.

Just go to Tantric bar.

many white guys frequent the place on the weekends.

But I heard since it moved from the first location at 78 Neil road to the current location, not so many people go there any longer...

Another dumb video that is pure propaganda?

I visited Singapore as a solo gay traveler over ten times,  and I never would have needed this dumb video to find what I was after.

I was not after the splurges of a rich city / country and definitely NOT after Singapore's food.  I have other STANDARDS.

My standards of food as a native Argentinian are:  Barbecue of rich juicy steaks cooked medium/rare with chimichurri sauce, with potatoes, a Greek salad, a bottle of good red wine, and a dessert of maybe a big chocolate musse and a good portion of ice cream.  And several meat empanadas to eat with the coffee.

Nooo....    This may be my standard, but I only rarely eat like this anymore.  Today my food is even more frugal than yours, so "healthy" that you would run away from it...  unless you have appettite, and you have fasted for 16 hours like I do, ha ha.

I went on a date last Monday night. It was kind of a blind date my coworker arranged for me with one of his friends. I'm a neurologist, so I have a weird schedule, and Monday was the only day that worked for both of us. He seemed really cool, and we clicked almost instantly. We started asking each other personal questions over appetizers to break the ice.

We were asking questions back and forth, sharing our dreams and aspirations. When he asked about my one to five-year plan, I happily shared my thoughts on my career, decorating my apartment, and maybe even getting a pet. I mentioned my love for travel and how I hoped to expand my bookshelf with my favorite novels. Then I told him about my 3-year rule.

Suddenly, his face changed. He called the waitress, paid, and just left. I was totally confused because we were having such a good time. Later, I messaged him, sent him a selfie we took, and asked what went wrong. He told me never to contact him again and blocked me. Just like that.

The next day at work, my coworker, who arranged our date, gave me weird glances too. I asked him what the problem was but he kept silent.

Unfortunately, there is no limit to the items that can possibly be fake.   We have to be always on guard.  Fortunately, a fake story about a relationship at BW is not going to harm us.  So... it makes little difference.  More harmful for those who like to believe are the fake stories in the religious books.

Not very creative to copy such a story from somewhere else.

The original story is on a girl dating a guy and not even a gay story.

The original story doesn't seem very plausible to me also: What straight guy wants to marry a girl after the first date directly. Guys wanna have sex mostly and not the burden of marrying. (Mostly it is the girl that intends to marry, not the guy).

The copy fake story from the Guest, the moment he wrote that his coworker arranged the date, I started having my doubts already.

What coworker will arrange for relationship dates for his colleague??? Didn't seem very persuasive to me.
