How’s your experience like bathing in open showers or onsen? I tried spa land in korea where they have like showers and areas to soak within the locker. honestly, if you are PES C or E, you won't get to shower openly, the camps have proper shower stalls one haha.

 

so if you want try, best bet is onsen or spa lor. usually spa they provide some coverage, like shorts or disposable underwear at least. onsen is just a small towel, so that one more dangerous

Our northern counterpart in Japan, Korea and Taiwan are places where they have the onsen culture. 

Go to the onsen means having to be naked to dip in the pool.  South East Asians does not have such culture, so many SEA gays are not familiar or will feel awkwards when hacing to strip naked and be naked in onsens. When I visited Japan, my guide who claimed to be the ambassador for onsen, recommended a list of onsens I should visit. I did visit a couple of them just for the experience: from rooftop onsen to onsen with forest view. They were indeed quite interesting to visit. I couldn’t get used to the nakedness for sure as I still used the little towel to cover up as I moved from point to point, even though none of the patrons there would even care. 
 

I visited a few in Bangkok too and still couldn’t get used to being naked. The only time I would walk around happily naked was when there was no one around 😅

 

I guess I need to clock onsen visits more than 100x to behave naturally 😁

Visiting gay saunas requires a different agenda 😅. I have visited Singapore & Malaysia saunas when I was in my 20s so it’s not a new experience altogether. In fact, I was pretty comfortable back then with a full towel wrapped around my lower body. The real shock came when my virgin visit to an onsen had that “comfortable” towel shrunk in size!

I never visited saunas in my 20s.  I did so in my 50s, 60s, 70s.  And by then I was "comfortable" regardless of having a wrapped towel or not.  With the right mentality, we can avoid any shock as long as we don't violate any law and are not assaulted.

Yes, Northern China espeically 东北 culture also has the 澡堂。But the one you went is 休闲中心。Where you can pampered yourself 2 hours long massage and eat your buffet meals and can stay at the center for hours. They will have all the spa and manicure facilities there. 

Similarly, ShenZheng (深圳) also has many very good and big 休闲中心.

Cool. Koreans are cut too. But I am told that the younger generation could be uncut too. Mind set has started to change about circumcision among Korean men, apparently.

I was told by Korean frd that local think only gay shave below. Str8 guys r supposed to be manly and unshaven.
