Origin of the word gymnasium

Yes, "gymnazein" in Greek meant to train in the nude.  Not only this, but in ancient Grece the young boys and girls performend in public competitions completely naked. The best way to display their athleticism  ( and eroticism? )  Would they have allowed in the young boys to squeze their balls in wrestling competitions?  What a pity we lost this fashion...

In German, Gymnasium also means "high school".  Is this a hint that young boys and girls should attend high school fully naked?  What an excellent LEARNING opportunity!

You definitely reminded me of the fetish I had (posted here), haha.

Happy - is what we should be, always.

Notice: I DO NOT use the Chat Function in this Forum - this has always been written in my profile (and I don't read it too).

OK, that just comes across a little creepy.

Creep: slang word for obnoxious, deviant, disturbingly excentric.  If this should apply to my post, then the ancient Greeks were definitely creepy, because their teenagers also exercised together, and naturally must have done it naked.  If you frequent BW,  this should not scandalize you!

And about German high schools...   how many teenage traumas could be averted if there were some formal sex education classes where they were together naked?   ( I hope that this idea does not scandalize you also )

We are not in ancient Greece and I am definitely applying "creepy" to your post. It was perfectly acceptable during those times, but certainly not so today. We have an age of consent.

What you have suggested about teenagers (minors of both genders) being naked together learning sex education is just inappropriate. The state of undress has nothing to do with teenage traumas. Yes, it will be helpful to have a "live" model in front of them showing and teaching them about their bodies and the opposite sex's, but there is no need for them to be naked, as you suggested to make it "an excellent LEARNING opportunity!"

If you apply "creepy", you are finding that nudity is obnoxious, deviant, excentric. This can be a case of gymnophobia or excessive shame.  These are NOT virtues.

It is not being suggested that formal sex education classes should be mandatory.  They could be something positive if they are optional.  But it is doubful that the Singapore society would go along with this...

Because the Greek did sports fully naked. It was a sign of masculinity and also to intimidate the competitors.

To more effectively show off that physicality, in the Olympics and other competitions, the athletes performed in the nude—except of course for the olive oil they rubbed all over themselves to more attractively gleam.

(Most of us would have probably watched with a hard on. )

We are also aware that homo sex was very common with the Greeks, same as a daddy appeal, as most young men joined the (also sexual) company of an older man.

Greeks didn't have a problem to create public statutes with the dick showing... ha ha

Be aware that the gym equipment was sort of different during the Greek times...
