Will be traveling out of Singapore for Chinese New Year 2025.  Where's a good place, Asian country, to go for 4-5 days trip?  Malaysia, China, Taiwan will be quiet I guess.

CNY2025?! 有华人的地方哪里都热闹!
Like me, go hide far far...

Going oversea without seeing Chinese during CNY 2025 is the Best. Easier to find food, accomodation and go easy without going to greet and see Chinese during CNY.

Best place are India, Kelantan Malaysia, Phillipine or Bali, Indonesia.

Life is short! Don't wait for the last minute to do what you like to do! Just do it!

Quiet? All Chinese will be out in full force to celebrate CNY especially China, all attractions will have terrible human traffic jam,  beside CNY,  China is best avoided during their Labour Day in May and National Day in October.

I heard Vietnam is not bad. Affordable and friendly

sorry but I disagree with this suggestion. Went to HCM during CNY period in 2024 and nothing was open (not even McD, 7-11 or supermarkets). Essential places only start to open from CNY day 2 or 3 onwards. Food-wise, you will have to rely on the hotel restaurants only. Bars and clubs are not open either.

You might be better off going to KL or BKK where places are open from CNY Day2 onwards. Just my own experience / opinion.

How about Bangkok,  making it an opportunity to escape the "closet" and enjoy all the scene in Silom and surrounding areas?  Pattaya?   Or Kuala Lumpur for identical purpose?
