Anyone knows where to seek medical consultation on removing mole-like stuff on anal area?

Sorry moderator, realise this should be under "fitness and health'. Kindly move if necessary.

I think this is the domain of gastroenterologists.  They are the ones that do colonoscopies, and remove precancerous polyps in the large intestine if necessary.

You can look for Dr. M in this forum.

He runs a clinic all Pulse https://www.facebook.com/PulseClinicSg/

You should get your "mole"  looked at.

@Leanmeat, with reference to the above post, it should be @Dr T (not "Dr M" eh), haha.   😅

Happy - is what we should be, always.

Notice: I DO NOT use the Chat Function in this Forum - this has always been written in my profile (and I don't read it too).

{it is unfortunate that this new Chat Function does not allow users to turn/switch off in mobile phone}

I think he is the only doctor at Pulse clinic there. Therefore, you can't miss him whether T or M (his first name might start with M actually). haha

You can book appointments online.

If the mole is not linked to any STD, then ask him for a referral to a specialist. Mostly the specialist has better equipment to remove anything.

Below is a full overview of the different types:

The reading may help that you might be prepared for any outcome.

But still seek the doctor. It is always advisable.

Thank you. It's actually a mole-look-alike mark on the butt near anus. Not inside. Only appears years ago after my inexperienced self wax.

if it is on normal skin (ie, not actually at the anus), i would suggest a general or plastic surgeon, or a dermatologist.
possibly some GP can do it too.

definitely NOT a gastroenterologist.

The article I posted mentions also "things" outside the anus area.

If it is a mole look alike mark , then you can go to a general practitioner and seek referral to the National Skin Center.

But the appointment might be only after 3 to 6 months as the NSC has a backlog unless the doctor thinks it might need urgent attention.

The issue with going to a dermatologist is that you get 3 different opinions in the worst case. The private specialists tend to charge also on higher fees.

Better to get the referral to the National Skin Center as they will know what check to do and as it is a Public "Hospital/ Clinic" pricing is mostly lower.

Plus, you don't waste any time when a dermatologist prescribes some cream that in the end doesn't help...

The GP might send you to a specialist clinic at a Public Hospital also (the one in Jurong East, NUH or SGH.

Hope it helps.
