cherished
I used to be an avid user of gay hookup apps. They were convenient and exciting at first. But over time, I found myself questioning whether they were truly serving me or just leaving me feeling unfulfilled. Eventually, I decided to step away from them entirely. Have any of you had similar experiences? What made you start or stop using these apps, and how has it impacted your life? I also question, how many here have not dabbled with a gay hookup app before. jcboy18, Fitbig and babybro 2

Hi there! I can totally relate to your experience with gay hookup apps. They can be exciting and convenient, but it’s also important to reflect on how they make us feel in the long run. It’s great that you took the time to assess their impact on your life and made a decision that feels right for you. For me, I started using these apps out of curiosity and the desire to meet new people. However, over time, I realized that they weren’t fulfilling my deeper needs for connection and intimacy. Stepping away from them has allowed me to focus on building more meaningful relationships and has positively impacted my overall well-being. I’m curious to hear from others as well. What has your experience been like with these apps? Have you found them helpful or have you also decided to step away? And for those who haven’t tried them, what has influenced your decision? Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts! gayboysgx

On one hand, I suspect that many people feel the same as us, but on the other, I’m not entirely sure. After all, gay apps are still very widely used, which suggests people haven’t completely given up on them yet.
MasterFitMalaySG4U
Haha 🤣 A hookup app as the name says it all.... Always start n never stops haha if u don't like any hook up..u can try cruising. It is fun adventure satisfaction! Gay/Bi world is already dark, sinner & hell for our pastime release enjoy being hard horny hungry with fellow sluts cunts etc haha Summary my point of view is that half or 35-40% of SG gays bi who is like u start then delete then start again meet a few toxics red flag then delete then do reflection etc blah2..(what a drama!) hahah the rest 60% or more is like me haha play to the hardest core... repeat...enjoy...life is too short to think about relationship 🤣 when it comes it comes.... Oh some on the hook up apps r not as bad as u think or red flag or toxic...maybe u didn't meet the right one or share the same interest or etc.....the ones u need to be careful is the ones u meet outside..u have no idea their intention & games! Haha 😂 Overall men r wolves in the pack or on their own finding their packs or trap into one or wannabe to the game...haha doesn't matter if u use apps or not.... Bruh! ClosureEssentials
That's good on you. I think we can all agree that the hookup culture does more harm than good. Perhaps you can utilise the time to do something else that's more fulfilling and meaningful. cherished

At first, it was thrilling. The chats, pics and chemistry that sparked before ever meeting in person. But soon, the excitement fades. After meeting, usually leading to nothing meaningful. Then on to the next one. Every conversation felt the same, just same small talk about nothing. cherished
babybro
YO! THAT’S ME HERE… I’ve never ever used a gay hookup app before, not even once. I’m very guai乖 one haha. I’m in Sg right now, but even while back in the States, where it’s pretty common for bars there to host Grindr or similar app events, I still haven’t joined the bandwagon. Tell me, can you outdo my challenge of resisting such temptations? Haha As for the reason why I’ve never, I don’t have any reason. Just didn’t. I mean, it wouldn’t take much effort to load one of those app into my phone and start using, but I just haven’t. And if it’s reassurance you’re seeking about whether you’ll be alright from stepping away, I’m gonna say it’s entirely up to you. I’ve been balanced and grounded. So it’s quite UNlikely you’ll turn crazy or anything like that. But thanks for the post, at least I know I’m not the only person on earth who is not using one. And then
If you are looking for love, meaningful connections, etc, then chances are, you will likely become very disappointed with these apps. For me, I use them purely for NSA fun, so they are fine (but also very annoying with excessive ads and restrictions) cherished

And with your magnetic personality and a full blown charisma hidden under your pants (personal observation 😜), you are definitely good to go without needing the help from any hookup app 👍🏼 On 12/17/2024 at 3:28 PM, babybro said: And if it’s reassurance you’re seeking about whether you’ll be alright from stepping away, I’m gonna say it’s entirely up to you. Thank you for your thoughtful reassurance. That helps a lot since I am still struggling to cope without any hookup apps and don’t want to end up fighting a losing battle. Which is part of my intention for this thread. The other reason is to raise awareness for others who might have found themselves in situations like mine of encountering strange people and also scammers. I had initially used those apps hoping to find someone genuine but ended up forming a habit of casual hookups. Now I’m not sure if leaving them also means giving up hope of ever finding someone special. Beerguy

NSF is definitely exciting, but it seems like human nature to feel a void once the novelty wears off. We start longing for deeper, more meaningful connections. Based on your very hot profile, I’m sure you attract a lot of NSF. Im curious about how you feel, do you ever get tired of all the NSF and repeating, like I have? Maybe I overindulged. I’m younger than you and already feeling jaded, haha!

I think that’s something you might have gone through.

Steve5380
When I was at an age to desire gay hookup apps... there were none there. There was no Internet yet! And when I was older and came out to the gay scene, I was too mature to engage in such sleazy ways to go after sex, and also... no desperate enough anymore. So I missed the opportunity. Or did I ??
