WHAT is impressive with this deepseek.AI ???

In China, gay saunas offer spaces for socializing, relaxation, and sometimes sexual encounters. LOL!  Thank you very much!, deepseek.  This is not deep AT ALL!  You can keep your Chinese gay saunas,   I don't go to saunas for socializing, relaxation, but for plenty of sexual encounters!!!

And the list of saunas that follows may be adequate for a small place like SG, but... FOR A COUNTRY OF 1.4 BILLION PEOPLE???  PATHETIC!

aplenty!

it nearly shook those ai stocks on usa mkt upon launch of deepseek

Ho ching shares on her fb:

Just  keep an open mind on what we may react and perceive as unreasonable in the first instance.

=====

Trump calls DeepSeek a ‘wake-up call’ for US industries

Donald Trump said advances in artificial intelligence by Chinese start-up DeepSeek were a “wake-up call” for US industries.

The president said he had been reading about AI companies in China and “one in particular” — DeepSeek — appeared to be “faster” and also “much less expensive”.

Trump said in Miami on Monday that if the company’s claims were true, he viewed it as a “positive”.

“The release of DeepSeek AI from a Chinese company should be a wake-up call for our industries that we need to be laser-focused on competing to win,” the president continued.

Trump said he wanted to “unleash” US tech companies and “dominate the future like never before.”

Quit being grumpy and envious of others.   A  big country offers more choice of new faces, instead of a regular ones you often found in small nations.  Besides, who doesn't love smooth skin, adorable Chinese men?   I absolutely do but don't worry, I will make sure to avoid the Octegarian ones.   😷

You must live in a fantasy world.  Nowhere have I been grumpy.  This word does not enter my vocabulary.  And I am so far away from ENVY!  No ENVY can penetrate the life of a happy octogenarian!  It is the other way around,  such an octogenarian wishes that everyone else is as happy as he is.   Yes...  you included! :)

BTW... I fell for adorable smooth skin of Asian men... far before you understand what this is, ha ha!  I have had little opportunity to meet octogenarian Asians, but I'm sure that I will not try to AVOID them.  They can have other attractions than their former smooth skin, ha ha...

But LGBT is not very prominent in any news.

The DEEP crawl sector of controlling the internet filters many items away ( hate speech against LGBT ) to avoid unrest.

CCP is surely not promoting or advancing any LGBT rights. ( Discrimination at work, renting difficulties etc).

The LGBT is simply a non spoken , segregated niche community there.

It is part of controlling sentiments and emotions to avoid any public discussions or "prominent" public appearance of LGBT.

Talking to straight commoners , most still tell you LGBT "members" have "mental issues".

The majority of LGBT in China still keep a low profile in public.

From my experience I object to any line saying "China or Mainland Chinese

is tolerant to LGBT".

The opposite might be true.

You said it right, LGBT is not prominently talked about in MAINLAND China simply because it is a non-issue.   Since nature has taken its cause there, there is no need to further or promote it.  In contrast, America has made it very evident that it exclusively accepts BOYS or GIRLS, with no middle ground, and has enacted legislation to that effect.  Anti-Chinese Ang Mo should cease his sanctimonious behavior and continue to harbor doubts and misgivings about more tolerant nations, such as MAINLAND China.

Are you saying Mainland China and the CCP is supporting or promoting trans people in China?

In the official ranks LGBT is not a non issue. Don't paint any picture as if being LGBT in China is paradise.

In fact, if you had spent some minutes on checking the current situation on Trans people in China, you had found that the CCP has implemented healthcare laws that totally contradict any support for trans people in gender transformation. The concerned people don't get the medication they require due to the new laws.

Further, LGBT is facing various backlash since 2021.

LGBT discussion groups at Wechat and other apps/websites were deleted, LGBT centers within China forcefully closed down.

The CCP and Mainland China doesn't even permit any single LGBT pride parade or anything similar.

Gays are just swept under the carpet! That is Mainland China or pushed into oblivion in China.

Now compare this with the freedoms that LGBTQ+ people benefit in the US. Probably only some Western European countries grant similar freedom rights and protection to LGBT people as the US.

You seem a bit blind on both eyes...

There are many countries that do only provide a male or female entry into passports.

The current new US Administration may think it can role back some laws, but it won't be for long.

With the objection culture and going to courts in the US, let's see how long the Executive Order of Trump will survive...

Please do update yourself before you post here and most importantly instead of posting your rosy painting of the LGBT society in China, talk to some LGBT in China first and get some first hand experience from there.

Anyhow, if you have such an Anti-American stance then I actually wonder why you write in American English?

All right.  I'm curious to see what he comes up with.  Although one of his statements was right:  you are much better off in SG than in mainland China.

There was nothing deceitful in my posts. Don't fall for such crap.

Why knows very well that BW in Mainland China can only be used by forbidden, illegal means through a VPN.  Many VPNs can't be used in China. Switching to VPNs or accessing blocked or disconnected social media is illegal in China. It is a matter of getting caught by the authorities in China...

Don't get duped by him.

VPNs are legal in China, but only for businesses with government approval. Additionally, in early 2022, China banned any VPN providers that don't pass China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) approval. However, everyday citizens cannot use a VPN.21 Oct 2024

If @Why? makes me fall,  and I am not completely immune,  I can always protect myself with a "mae ukemi" (forwards roll),  or "kaiten ukemi" (backwards roll)

Thanks for the information.  I already suspected that mainland Chinese cannot access the whole world wide internet.

Wait, I spotted something inaccurate.

Based on my numerous visits to Beijing (my workplace in the US was once involved with projects in Beijing), Destination is NOT a sauna but a very popular and huge gay dance club situated in 三里屯酒吧街 Chaoyang District - unless something has changed, which I doubt, it is not a notable sauna by any means, heads up esp for those planning a visit there.

Update me if I’m incorrect.

A famous tv star in Europe used Deepseek to search what it would find on his career or tells about his actor's past life.

While certain items were correct, the TV star noted that Deepseek invented about 50% on his personality on incidents that never happened, TV films, he never acted for and came up with a singer career that the TV star never had pursued at all and worst contributed marriages to him to persons the TV star wasn't even aware of.

The TV star's conclusion was: To give content, Deepseek will invent items that are not factual.

Gay saunas in Shanghai

Sadly, in a post-Covid age, all the gay saunas of Shanghai have closed their doors for good: Ding Lin Men's Club, the Shanghai Door Health Club, the Huli Sauna (aka Shanghai Mutual Benefits Shower Leisure Center), and the Hawaii Gay Gym are no longer in operation.

Cruising and gay saunas in Beijing

In terms of gay saunas in Beijing, few have survived the global pandemic. Fengfan Weiye Club still appears to be in operation but we'd recommend checking with gay locals for the latest info.

Ah... what future "AI Checker" will check the accuracy of AI programs?  Will organized religions expand their doctrine to condemn as SINFUL to post data from an AI program that invents, lies?

Not everyone is impressed by Deepseek. Experts reveal the realities behind the alleged virtues of the new program, and predict that such virtues will diminish and vanish with time:
