hi all, 

Below is my reflections:

 

Tomorrow i start Dialysis. 

                                       

The road ahead will last me for a year & every Tue-Thu-Saturday from 12 to 3pm =(   

        

      

Facing this, 

I hang on to hope, 

I promise to love-myself-more, 

I look forward to completing 9hours/weekly & ev'Time i see someone who has a HICKMAN LINE> i will approach this stranger & give-him-a-Hug>

 

In fact, 

I emailed N.U.H.

at the Renal Specialist Centre, 

I wanna hold a sign that says:

 

<for those on Dialysis, free HUGS🫂here!>

the 1st time a public doctor informed me: i need Dialysis was on 5-5-2024

        

      

i cried for 3 months, ev'night. 

in 2025 both kidneys died. 

Facing this, 

I hang on to hope,

I look forward to completing 9hours/weekly & ev'Time i see someone who has a HICKMAN LINE> i will approach this stranger & give-him-a-Hug>

There are few kindney patients support groups in SG already : RHS, KDF, NKF, NUH, MKAC, etc. Is it necessary to create another group here?

IMO, it would be better to find support at the centre near u stay, rather than on web. they would have better professional support rather than hobbyist.

I'm a member of the N.K.F. support group. Its the best, why? 

 

1) uses Telegram so confidentiality is maintained. 

 

2) the moderator, Mr Job Loei, is not a volunteer but a employee. 

 

3) monthly f2f talks, 

If not, 

Held online. 

 

4) once u start a topic, 

U may/will get instant chant replies from "the regulars" & i find that so, so, so therapeutic💋❤️💯. 

 

5) basically, 

90% of participants are on P.D.

 

6) N.U.H. >didn't tell me when they discharged me last week but i signed up for the support-group at K.D.F. so thank u @fun72 for the referral 😃

@1983rophi sorry to hear about your situation. However, I thought if you need a support group from people in 'our community', it might be good to consolidate your threads into one, right here in the Members' Lounge, so that it is easier for you to manage (rather than multiple threads 'everywhere'). Also, the Personals folder might not be a good place for such support group, as the people there are generally looking for fun (and you might get unwanted comments that are not good for you) yeah.
