taxme7 Posted March 6, 2009 Report Share Posted March 6, 2009 It all started when i failed to launch my IE. When I restart my PC, it will run for a while and auto restart again and again. I am not even able to see my desk top.I did a System Recovery and HDD check yesterday but the same problem persists.Could someone please help me. IkuTube Posted March 6, 2009 Report Share Posted March 6, 2009 There are few possibilities when a system reboot continuously:01. faulty RAM02. overheating CPU and/or other hardware components03. virus and/or malware04. software conflictsTrace back your last action - what did you do?Can you go into Safe Mode?If you can access OS, try this step:Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and RecoveryClick on 'Settings', uncheck 'Automatically restart' and click OK and Apply. You might want to reconsider reformatting the system. Avoid System Restore.03. Update your intel chipset driver - I assume it is intel cpu here. If it is AMD, update with their latest available.To seriously troubleshoot your problem, you may need to stuff around a bit:-01. Take out the RAM and resit them.02. Take out the graphic card and uninstall the driver.03. Take out the sound card and uninstall the driver.04. Take out any other cards.See if you still have the problem after doing 01 - 04.If there is still the problem, the possibility:A. Failing cpu and/or motherboardB. Power supply issue.If NO problem, install each card - one at a time, and reboot. maturemedium Posted March 13, 2009 Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 (edited) Ikutube: Help!Hope you could help me:I plug in an external HD (FAT32) via USB and trying to access it, it prompted:"window cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item"I tried right click to select "Auto play" which I used to be able to do. But quite often cannot. What do I do? Help!!
