chubaholic
It's trailers have been airing non-stop these days. The creative directing and cinematography look good and the score/soundtrack is fabulous in the same vein as Wong Kar Wai films. There is this trailer with a cello score. Reminds me of another great score in the Taiwan gay drama, Crystal Boys. Also, there is the charming nostalgia. I thought I spotted a Greenspot bottle. Young punks nowadays wont know what that is. 我有煙但係邊個有火。。。
Guest disappointed
Don't put too high hope on mediacorp. Its track record show a path of thrash shows. Whether the show is good or not is irrevelant to the broadcaster, cos they will storm it with heavy advertisment anyway. Look the the current airing "serves you right", "live and loaded", "dont forget lyrics".... all like shit, with "don't forget lyrics" the most like shit. Special mention is Gurmit simgh, who is hopeless in "dont forget lyrics" being the worst host in Singapore.. the contestants are uninteresting people trying really hard to entertain....the trailers which are pungent to the eyes are forever appearing....tbe crazy prostitute-looking bitch trying to lick her elbow should be IMH-nisedCassandra see is like more than 20 yr in show bis? 40 plus? and zero improvement to her super exaggerated acting in "serves you right". The mad man trying to buy over the company, another nut-case with little and no acting skills....I used to like Utt, back in the days when he's hosting MTVs.... was sweet, young and innocent looking guy. Now, so haggard and slimmy.. and unattractive. It difficult to finish the show when the key element to the show is missing, no music... only noise. Guest Centrino
I totally agree with Disappointed.Mediacorp's trailers are usually better than the show itself. I cannot count the number of times when I see a Channel 5 trailer and think to myself "hmm...looks promising", only to be utterly disappointed by the lousy acting, poor script and overall weak production when I watch the show.Fighting Spiders looks promising and reminds me of the 90s hit Growing Up. Now, that was one good show that is sorely lacking on Channel 5 nowadays. Another "blockbuster" (how in the world can one say that the show is a blockbuster BEFORE it even airs?) trailer that keeps airing nowadays is "Red Thread". Based on that trailer alone, I know it's going to be a gigantic flop that's going to sink as fast as Masters of the Sea. It's time Channel 5 realises that it is NOT Channel 8. What works on Channel 8 or U doesn't automatically mean it will work on Channel 5. All that said, I'm still glad that Channel 8 drama serials are still rather entertaining even though they do not have flashing trailer like those on Channel 5. As for our dear Gurmeet Singh... I hope he doesn't host this year's Singapore Idol... or any other shows for that matter. When will Mediacorp realise that he's past his PCK prime, and that he can't host/talk for nuts!
